11 3. Installing LepideAuditr Suite Befre installing this sftware, make sure that the installer file is available n yur cmputer. If the file is nt available n yur cmputer, then yu can dwnlad the file frm In additin, please make sure yur cmputer meets the system requirements fr this sftware. After yu have dwnladed the installer file, execute the fllwing steps t install LepideAuditr Suite. 1. Duble click the dwnladed installer file t start the installatin. 12 Figure 2: License Agreement 3. It's recmmended t read the license agreement carefully befre installing the sftware. 4. If yu agree t the license agreement and want t cntinue the installatin, then check "I accept the agreement" and click "Next". 5. This will display the fllwing dialg bx, which allws yu mdifying the destinatin. The default installatin lcatin is %PrgramFiles%\LepideAuditr Suite fr 32-bit and %PrgramFiles(x86)%\LepideAuditr Suite fr 64-bit Windws OS Lepide Sftware Pvt. Ltd. Page 12

13 Figure 3: Change the Installatin Lcatin 6. If yu want t mdify the installatin lcatin, then click "Brwse" and select the desired lcatin. 7. Click "Next" t prceed further. 14 8. Click "Brwse" and select a different lcatin t mdify the lcatin f the shrtcuts flder in the Start Menu. 9. Click "Next" t use the default r custmized shrtcuts flder. This will display the fllwing screen. Figure 5: Perfrm Additinal Tasks 10. Check the bxes titled "Create a desktp icn" and/r "Create a Quick Launch icn", if yu want. 11. 16 13. When the installatin prcess is cmpleted successfully, yu'll receive the fllwing message. Figure 8: Sftware is installed 14. Click Finish t cmplete the prcess. 17 4. Uninstalling LepideAuditr Suite There can be a situatin when yu need t uninstall the LepideAuditr Suite. Please make sure t clse the sftware befre uninstalling it. Fllw the steps belw t uninstall it. 1. There are tw ways t start the uninstallatin. a. G t Start All Prgrams "LepideAuditr Suite", click "Uninstall LepideAuditr Suite". b. Click Start Cntrl Panel. Its windw appears. Launch "Add/Remve Prgrams" r "Prgrams". Select "LepideAuditr Suite" and click "Remve". 2. Fllwing any f the abve methds will display a warning message. 18 Figure 11: Uninstalling the sftware 2. When the sftware is remved, the fllwing message bx appears nscreen. Figure 12: The sftware is finally uninstalled. 3. Click OK t finish the prcess. After fllwing the abve steps, LepideAuditr Suite will be uninstalled successfully frm yur cmputer system. By default, the sftware is cnfigured t retain the license file, auditing fr server, data f backup snapshts, and ther settings in the prgram installatin flder Lepide Sftware Pvt. Ltd. Page 18

19 T remve the remaining elements, delete its prgram installatin flder manually and then empty the Recycle Bin as well. Kindly dn t remve this flder if yu want t retain the license file and/r have t reinstall the same/upgraded versin f the sftware. %PrgramFiles%\LepideAuditr Suite fr 32-bit OS %PrgramFiles(x86)%\LepideAuditr Suite fr 64-bit OS Please nte that deleting the abve flder will als remve the snapsht data captured by the sftware and there is n way t recver them back. 20 5. Activating the License 5.1 Types f Licenses Lepide Sftware Pvt. Ltd. ffers the fllwing types f license fr LepideAuditr Suite. Yu have t buy the separate licenses fr each Active Directry (includes Grup Plicy Objects), Exchange Server, SQL Server, and SharePint Server. 1. Trial Versin: Trial versin f the prduct will wrk just like the paid versin; hwever, the sftware will remain active nly fr 15 days. LepideAuditr Suite activates the trial license autmatically fr all added dmains, SharePint Servers, and SQL Servers. Yu have t purchase either subscriptin r perpetual license fr each cmpnent nce the trial perid expires. 2. Subscriptin License: The prduct will remain active nly fr the subscribed perid. The license has t be renewed thereafter. 3. Perpetual License: The prduct will remain active fr a lifetime. There is n time limitatin Lepide Sftware Pvt. Ltd. Page 20

21 5.2 License Ntificatin Once yu have installed the sftware, yu have t add the dmain that yu want t audit. After adding the dmain, the sftware will display a ntificatin bar at the bttm asking fr the license. Figure 13: License Warning at the bttm This license ntificatin will flash until yu add a license t the added dmain. Click Mre Infrmatin buttn t knw mre abut the license details. G t License Infrmatin Tab that displays the list f all added servers in the left pane. 2. Select a server in the left panel, fr which yu want t add a license. 24 4. Click "OK". A file - LicenceRequest (audit.cm).txt - will be generated and stred n the current users' desktp. Here, the bracket cntains the name r IP Address f the server prvided by the user while adding the server in the sftware. 5. Send this file thrugh t sales@lepide.cm alng with the type f license yu need. Free Trial versin f the sftware is available fr a limited perid. Yu have t g fr Perpetual r Subscriptin License after the expiratin f this trial perid. 6. Our Sales Team will revert back very sn with a License file. Stre that file n the disk. 5.4 Applying the License Fllw the steps belw t apply the received license. 1. At the License Infrmatin Tab, select the dmain f which license yu have t apply. 2.
