4 Measuring Devices 7T5 8 time and puse counters Overview The counters are designed for instaation in switching, contro and distribution boards and can be snapped onto standard mounting rais 35 mm acc. to E Function Time counters count the time in hours with an accuracy of two decima paces (hundredths of hours). The puse counter adds the number of puses, e.g. the maing operations of devices. In the case of eectronic counters, the counting resut is saved indefinitey in the event of a power faiure (EEPROM). On recovery of the power, the counting is continued from the saved vaue. Once termina 3 is suppied with votage (for DC "+"), the counting procedure starts. If termina 4 is suppied short-time with votage (for DC "+"), the counter is reset. In the event of a power faiure, the counting resut is indefinitey stored in EEPROM. 15 Schematics Instructions for the connection of transformer counters In the case of cross-section reduction, a short-circuit resistant cabe is required for the power suppy of terminas 2, 5 and 8, depending on the fusing for phases, 2, 3. A fuse of 6 A is recommended for ine protection. Current transformers must not be operated with open terminas as dangerousy high votages can occur, which may resut in persona injuries and property damages.
