Based on myths and stories about a Saxon Warrior called Chelmund (Ceolmund) who made a clearing in the wood in which he settled. Chelmund s Day offers a host of fun activities for all s including: stalls, music, dancing, stories, crafts and food. 11am - 3pm All s Libraries... 2 Rhyme time A short interactive session for babies and very young children that includes finger & action rhymes and songs. Also a chance to meet other mums and carers. Sat 2nd July Ben and Holly will be joined by a narrator to help guide younger guests through stories of Ben and Holly in their enchanted Little Kingdom. Story time sessions will take place outside Cineworld at intervals. Intervals between 11am - 4pm Preschool children Ben & Holly are real pre-school favourites and incredibly popular with children and mums alike. To have the chance to see them for free is so exciting! We encour all families to join us at Touchwood this summer and get involved in the fun! Sunday (12noon - 7pm) Lichfield Festival Website: Sat 2nd July Florette Festival Market Featuring artists and craftspeople from across the region, the popular Festival Market is a great day out for all the family. Choose from around 150 craft stalls or sample a variety of local food and drink. You can also watch demonstrations of traditional crafts or take a tour of the Cathedral, while younger visitors have their faces painted or take their turn at a number of charity game stalls. With entertainment from local performers throughout the day, this is a perfect day out for all the family. Location: Cathedral Close, Dam Street & Minster Walk 10am - 4pm All s Sat 2nd July Luxmuralis - Festival Light Show Join us to celebrate the Festival's opening weekend with a light projection show blending period film foot with the latest digital techniques. Luxmuralis present a light installation on the concept of "The Somme", providing a contemporary and moving response to this pivotal moment in history of WW1. The artwork lasts for around 20 minutes and is repeated until 11pm. Luxmuralis is a national and international artistic collaboration led by Cathedral Aritist in Residence Peter Walker. Location: Lichfield Cathedral. 10pm All s Sat 9th July Festival Fete Join us for a day of traditional games, sweet treats, craft activities and music in the Cathedral Close. With live entertainment, the chance to get involved in singing and dance activities through the day or to try your luck at winning a prize from our stalls, this is the perfect day out for all the family.
