26 Summary 100% Renewable Energy system is reachable in Brazil by the year 2030! in 2030, hydro continues to dominate in the electricity sector in terms of TWh hydro dams and stable equatorial weather conditions give Brazil the best conditions for 100% RE systems the shift to power in the gas and desalination is driven by higher supply of least cost solar PV and wind sites the integration of other sectors increase the system s flexibility 100% RE system is more cost competitive than a nuclear-fossil option! 26
