Specifically, we are seeking a Web Developer with a proven track record of contributing to the design, development and maintenance of industry leading location-based solutions for both the web and mobile. Based at our India office, the role will see you tasked with the following responsibilities: Development of standardised, web-based, location-based solutions that conform to specifications; Support the Sales team by developing demonstrations, delivery of projects and account management; Ensure that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieve necessary design and systems security standards; Ensure applications meet the client requirements as defined in the Functional Specification; Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by transitioning knowledge into day-to-day practice, enhancing your team/working environment; Participate in knowledge transfer and cross skilling; Adherence to architectural standards and practices; and, Contribute to the development and support of Service Delivery Road Map. Key to being considered for the role is the following selection criteria: A Computer Science Degree or equivalent; Sound knowledge and experience working with the following: HTML; CSS; Javascript; ASP.NET; C#.NET; Web Services; and, MS SQLSVR 2008/2012; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Keen attention to detail; Ability to work with minimal supervision and to deadlines; Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders; Positive and enthusiastic with a can do attitude; Personality/behaviour aligns with MapData Services core values; At least two years commercial experience developing web applications, with an emphasis on user interface design; Experience working in an Agile Software development environment; Experience using source control and versioning practices; Exposure to geospatial technology; and, Experience working in a commercial environment and interacting at all levels of an organisation, both internally and with clients.
