3 Description CPS has successfully built the UK s largest Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint based project management solutions practice. We are a long established & highly respected Microsoft Gold Partner with over 400 successful national and international consulting engagements completed. Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Product Developer who is experienced in ensuring successful development of software solutions to contribute to our product offering for Project Online. The focus of the role is to develop technical software solutions, using a range of Web Application development technologies adhering to CPS development standards. Our developers are required to be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle and should be comfortable engaging directly with client and internal stakeholders, from requirements gathering through to the development, to installation and handover support to client and handover to our internal service desk. Specific Role Requirements A self-starter, keen to further develop their knowledge & skillset, with a make it happen attitude. Demonstrable experience in product development is highly desirable but also deliver a range of software developments to a broad client base for specific customer developed soltions, applying a commercial awareness around the delivery. Ensuring developments are provided using the appropriate SDLC and delivered to the appropriate development standards, ensuring all developments are robust, fully tested, of high quality and fit for purpose. Demonstrable experience in a software development consulting role, in a corporate software development environment or in a software development organisation. Broad knowledge of software development lifecycles, with experience gained through all phases from design, development, test and release cycle to delivery and maintenance. Key Responsibilities Undertake development assignments using the relevant technology including: o Functional Specification writing o Technical Specification writing o Solution Development Page 3

4 o Test Planning & Testing support o Support Documentation Deliver a professional, customer focused and high performing development service Ensure quality management processes are followed, ensuring all developments are robust, fully tested, of high quality and fit for purpose Ensure commercial controls are applied for development work packages projects Develop and maintain professional credible relationships with key internal stakeholders, relevant third parties and strategic suppliers. Ensure that unit and system testing are undertaken to required standards Ensure development handovers to support and engagement leads are executed Support colleagues with problem resolution as requested Ensure CPS development standards are correctly applied Ensure developed code is stored using the CPS Source Code repository Manage your professional development plans Ensure timesheets & expense submissions are progressed correctly when working on customer projects Technical Attributes Required technical attirbutes incude: Highly skilled web development experience using JavaScript, jquery libraries, HTML5 and CSS. Strong knowledge of web services, RESTful web services, JSoN, XML Experienced in UI / UX design Desirable technical attributes include: Experienced in SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 development, SharePoint UI development Experience in creating SharePoint add-ins (formally apps) is highly desirable. o SharePoint only and provider hosted as well as Office 365 add-ins Experience in SQL Server Experience in designing and developing complex software applications and planning, deploying and supporting large scale implementations Experience in developing COTS products highly desirable Demonstrated experience in testing procedure and QA and QC protocols Experience in configuring and troubleshooting application developments Understanding of enterprise application networking architecture Experience in technical architectural topology Proficient with relational database management systems Experience with the use/management of TFS or other source control system (SVN, GIT) Page 4

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the breadth and depth of their suitability for this role with the following proof points: Demonstrable background in software development. Strong knowledge of web related technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JSoN, JavaScript, JQuery, Web Services, and XML is required. Experience of product development, ideally COTS products. The ability and drive to strive for effective changes and continuous improvement in development standards and the day to day development processes. Experience of working with in-house development teams or offshore developers would be ideal. Knowledge of current & previous Microsoft SharePoint and Project Server platforms desirable. Thorough knowledge of (C#) ASP.NET Development, including instrumentation, exception handling, security, and threading highly desirable. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS & SSAS are highly desirable. Expertise with user experience design. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodology. Page 5
