1 Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Department Customer Care Date 5 March 2015 Position Purpose Business Support Co-ordinator To provide Jacobsen Direct customers aftersales support for parts orders and service requests. Reports to Direct Reports Responsibilities Order Help Desk Supervisor None Order entry into the business system for orders placed by phone, fax and on-line. Order entry for service and warranty requests into the business system placed by phone, fax and on-line. Coordinate and/or scheduling the service and warranty orders with the Field Service Engineer(s) and third party service providers. Assist external and internal customers with parts look up through the use of publications and on-line manuals. Daily invoicing of the completed parts and service orders Communicate on a daily basis with customers to inform of backorder status, telemarketing, customer relationship management, service and warranty repair follow up. Assist the Field Service Engineer(s) with inventory recommendations to improve van stock fill rate. Parts warehouse support - order picking, packaging and shipping to meet tight deadlines. Willing to provide customers with 24/7 after sales support by taking complete ownership of the business function. Willing to undertake any other reasonable tasks required by the Company. Authority Contacts Minimum Qualifications/ Education To mobilise the Field Service Engineer to meet the business needs. At all levels and with all departments within Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd. Educated to degree level in Business Studies or alike qualification, the candidate will have good I.T. skills and be proficient with Microsoft packages (particularly Outlook and Excel). Personal Attributes /Competencies The candidate must be customer focused and enthusiastic to make things happen. They must have good communication skills, have a professional telephone manner, and be self-motivated and assertive when speaking to customers to take complete ownership of the situation.

2 Ransomes Jacobsen ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Department Engineering Design Date 23 February 2015 Position Purpose Reports to Responsibilities Electrical Design Engineering In this position you will design and develop new electrical control systems for mobile turf care equipment, validate design changes and resolve warranty problems associated with new and existing equipment. You will be responsible for solving a variety of technical problems of easy to moderate scope and complexity and ensure projects are executed per the agreed upon timing, cost, quality, and product requirements. Group Engineering Manager Design electrical control systems for professional ride on turf care equipment and integrate associated systems and components Be Involved in the design and integration of the following systems/components into turf care equipment: Micro-Controllers, inductive sensors, linear actuators, complex electrical harnesses - including low and high power cable designs, and CAN-bus Working knowledge of the electrical standards a plus. Develop and utilize project timelines for engineering tasks Develop and utilize functional specifications Develop and utilize DFMEA s for components and assemblies Develop design validation plans Investigate and review of design patent opportunities and infringements and file patent disclosures Develop design packaging layouts, particularly as they pertain to electrical harnesses and systems Develop and release engineering component and assembly drawings Resolve and document test issues/failures using the 8D process Perform design for assembly and manufacturing assessments on components and assemblies Ensure products are certified to all applicable government standards (CE Certification, CARB Compliance, etc). Possess and demonstrate skills that provide solutions to a variety of technical and managerial problems of easy to moderate scope and complexity. Solutions should show elements of uniqueness and creativity. Possess and demonstrate a complete understanding and general application of electrical engineering principles theories, concepts and techniques. Work under general supervision and follow established procedures, but also show independent thinking in problem resolution. Lead all elements of a project associated with the engineering deliverables, interface with team members from other functional areas, occasionally track project financials, and provide frequent input to Manager in establishing the design direction of the work or project. Responsible for complying with all federal, state and local laws as well as internal policies, as outlined, and any other applicable policies and regulations, and ensuring your direct reports comply with these laws and policies

5 Design Engineer Graduate Department Engineering Product Development Date February 2014 Position Reports to Responsibilitie s Mechanical Engineer Senior Engineer To ensure that all designs meet technical, performance, reliability and cost targets as identified by a Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager. To produce and maintain all drawings, Bill of Material records, outline assembly instructions and Technical Publications consistent with the Engineering Change process and as guided by senior engineering staff. To ensure that all designs can be manufactured both efficiently and cost effectively through liaison with Manufacturing staff, incorporating mistake proofing or visual guidelines if missbuilds are possible. Utilise best practice reference documents and standard inhouse components where at all possible. Liaise with other Engineers and departments when implementing new principles. To read, understand and incorporate requirements of standards and directives relevant to the product under development. To assist in the development of test regimes to validate design elements of a project. Authority Contacts Experience Qualifications All decisions related to the design of the system, product or components under development in conjunction with other Engineering staff. Ordering of prototype parts and materials as guided by the Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager. All levels within Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd, and with relevant Suppliers Distributors, Dealers and End users. Comfortable designing in a variety of materials including steels, plastics and alloys. Able to demonstrate a hands on approach working within a multi disciplinary team to take design concepts through to medium volume production to meet challenging specifications and timescales. Self motivating and able to work with low levels of supervision to defined objectives. A strong knowledge of CAD (ideally UG NX) and FEA software (ideally ANSYS) required. Qualified or studying for degree level within an Engineering related discipline

6 Department Position Purpose Reports to ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd Customer Care Product Support Assistant Date 20 th February 2015 Responsible for customer, dealer and distribution technical support of Ransomes Jacobsen products. To provide clear communication to our customer help desks, distributors, dealers and major customers as well as responsibility for accurate data management to be able to monitor and track after sales performance. Assisting dealers/distributors in troubleshooting and / or identifying new product issues. Track field problems and work with engineering and/or manufacturing personnel to implement corrective action to the field Customer Support Manager UK & Ireland/International Customer Support Manager Responsibilities Assist dealers/distributors/psm s and end users in troubleshooting and diagnosing product problems via phone or requests, providing efficient feedback and resolution where possible. Have a clear understanding of the content of Engineering Change Order (ECO s) and prepare Service Bulletin s to detail the product changes or instructions to Textron staff, distributors, and dealers in a concise and accurate manner. To chase production of modification/rectification kits to ensure that product can be updated within the specified deadline and to maintain and implement data management processes that track and monitor progress of field service campaigns. Liaise with warranty and other relevant departments to verify that the work is completed by the dealers within the specified time, this is particularly important where operator or public safety is concerned. Ensure that the Customer Care section of the website is updated on a weekly basis, ensuring that all the information on all products is correct. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, etc. to determine potential solutions for product problems. Provide or obtain technical information that can be used in the production of training material, Service Course manuals and by the other members of the Service department to maintain an appreciation of all the products offered by Ransomes Jacobsen. Working with and supporting Engineering and the Product Support Managers, provide clear instructions that will assist Distributors and Dealers install rectification kits. Liaise with other personnel from both within the Company and external, who can provide advice and support to investigate, resolve and verify customer enquiries and/or concerns As necessary, particularly in times of excessive workload within Customer Services, provide administrative support in other areas of the department Provide total commitment to customer satisfaction objectives. Authority To pursue timely and conclusive resolutions to technical concerns within

7 the Ransomes Jacobsen organisations. To determine field fix required to resolve manufacturing, design, or other fault including authorising repairs to product that will result in a warranty claim. Ideally HND/HNC Mechanical Engineering/time served apprentice or New Grad with business related degree, related industry experience, good product knowledge and good levels of IT skills partially regarding Excel, Word etc. Good commercial, inter-personal and telephone skills. Driving licence.

8 TITLE: Sourcing / Project Specialist DEPARTMENT: Global Procurement REPORTS TO: Director, Strategic Sourcing POSITION DESCRIPTION EXEMPT POSITION CODE: GRADE: AAP/EEO CODE: BASIC FUNCTION: The Sourcing Specialist role is one of constant demand and changing priorities. Responsibilities include NPD support, commodity reporting, and insourcing/resourcing project support. SPECIFIC & ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Insourcing/Transition Project: Lead team meetings for all transition projects following guidance from Commodity Leaders strategy within the commodity Analyze inventory and set timing for transition Place last time buys and PPAP orders. Track PPAP closures by project prior to production launch. Overall project timelines and cross functional coordination with engineering, operations, purchasing, and quality Obsolete inventory analysis and disposition Construct RFI / RFQ packages to support resourcing activities New Product Development (NPD): NPD support by tracking quoting activities, placing PO s, tracking delivery for prototype, preproduction, and Job 1 builds. PPAP tracking for all pre-production builds and find quick solutions to meet timelines Follow up and close supplier quality issues through cross functional collaboration to meet NPD launch timelines Part set-up for Job 1 and communicate to Material Analysts to provide a seamless transition for purchased parts Load quotes on NPD projects into quote modules Track Supplier Application approvals from applicable suppliers Standard cost loading for new parts into Oracle Obsolete inventory analysis and disposition Commodity Reporting: Track monthly commodity / currency market conditions Annually organize reports to set standards for following year Monthly Inflation forecasting report

9 EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Supply Chain / Business / Engineering Application of Project Management tools preferred Prior internships / summer placements in Supply Chain roles preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 0-2 years of sourcing or materials management experience in an O.E.M manufacturing environment required. Prior experience with MRP/ERP systems is preferred.
