10 Traineeships for year olds Traineeships are designed to be flexible to meet your needs and those of employers. Traineeships can prepare you for your future career. Traineeships last from six weeks to five months and include: Employability (job) skills Functional English and maths skills (if needed) A substantial work placement for at least 100 hours. Apprenticeships for year olds Apprenticeship programmes include Business Administration, Health and Social Care, Childcare and Customer Service. They are ideal for anyone who wants to increase their skills and knowledge and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Our programmes are designed to meet the needs of employees and employers and are delivered in the workplace, with some offsite delivery where required.
