Pro-Assistant Results Tomorrow, Wednesday April 29th at 5:00 CST is the deadline for the Guardian Enterprises Millstone Pro-Am at Millstone Golf Course in Morristown, Tenn. on May 4-5th. The entry fee is $600 for a players club team, and $650 for a non-players club team. The format for the tournament is a TPGA golf professional and three (3) scratch amateurs will compete in a Scratch Pro-Am, team Best Ball event. The Guardian Enterprises Pro-Am will also have individual contests including professional, senior professional, amateur and senior amateur. On a Beautiful day in Chattanooga Henrik Simonsen, PGA and Thomas Smith of The Honors Course won the 2015 Yamaha Pro-Assistant Championship held at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. Simonsen and Smith finished 6-under-par 65 winning a total of $3,000 in the 4-ball stroke play team event. It was a close competition with four teams from The Honors Course, Chattanooga Golf & Country Club, The Golf Club, and Oak Ridge Country Club finishing just one stroke behind at 5-under-par 66 each winning $1, FACEBOOK The TPGA is on Facebook. Brooks West, PGA, Yamaha, Jake Reeves, PGA, of Fairways and Greens, and Andrew Braley, PGA, of GolfTec all made a Hole-In-One to receive $100 each. On hole #9 Kevin Snell of Henry Horton State Park won $100 and a Dunning shirt courtesy of Greg Norman & Dunning Golf. Jeremy Cason, PGA, of The Honors Course won closest to the hole on #13 receiving $100 cash. Bruce Etter, PGA, won the last closest to the hole competition on #18 winning $100 cash and a Dunning shirt Courtesy of Greg Norman & Dunning Golf. Clcik HERE for full results. Hole-in-One USA Hole-in One Club Update The Yamaha Pro-Assistant Championship at Chattanooga Golf Country Club on Monday April 27 th had an incredible 3 Hole-in- Ones!! Each of the Hole-in-Ones were on hole #5 that was playing 172 yards. Jake Reeves, PGA, Brooks West, PGA, and Andrew Braley, PGA, were the trio that made the Hole-in-Ones. The Tennessee PGA started a Hole-in- One Club this season giving participants a chance to win more money. With entry fees and added money from the Title Sponsor- Hole-in-One USA the Hole-in-One U.S.A Hole-in-One Club has a total a purse of $2,350. Jake Reeves and Brooks West were both members and will split the purse at the end of the year between themselves and anyone else in the club who makes a Hole-in-One the rest of the year. We will continue to keep you updated on results throughout this year s tournaments. Oakley Fantasy Golf Update The first event has been scored for the Oakley Fantasy Golf League Click HERE to the website. The next event for the Oakley Fantasy Golf League is the Guardian Enterprises Pro-Am at Millstone Golf Club. Make sure you get on a team and play in this event to help out your Oakley Fantasy Team! Looks like it is going to be a very tight race throughout the year. The MVP of the first Tournament (Pro-Official) was Jeff Page who was -8 counting all of his under par scores. The Tennessee PGA Education Committee is introducing a new Educational Opportunity for Assistants/Apprentices. We are offering a NEW workshop for Assistants/Apprentices to learn from PGA General Managers in the Section. The educational opportunity will include a presentation from PGA Employment Kevin Walls on current employment trends for Member Classifications, golf industry opportunities, and helpful tips to making the next step in your career. The day will also include a club walk-through and presentation from PGA General Manager Todd Heifner & PGA Assistant General Manager Robby Watson at the Golf Club of Tennessee on their job responsibilities and how they manage the club. They have generously donated their time & facility, and have also made this opportunity available for only $15 all inclusive!!! To add to this incredible opportunity, we will play golf after lunch at the renowned Golf Club of Tennessee course designed by Tom Fazio after lunch. Please see other updates on dues billing below. The due date for this invoice is June 30, 2015 to avoid suspension and late fee assessment. Members and Apprentices are billed based upon what they are doing and where they are located on May 1, Dues adjustments will be processed for any Change Forms received starting May 4 and will be based upon the effective date of the change. Drive, Chip & Putt Opportunity New MSR Videos Online Utilize Drive, Chip & Putt clinics to create new customers, increase existing youth participation at your facility and generate over $20,000 in instruction business! The updated Drive, Chip & Putt Playbook is now available at PGA.org. The same MSR credit points and guidelines will be used this year for PGA Professionals who host and volunteer for a DC&P event: 2 credits per PGA member in Required Credits for hosting or volunteering a DC&P qualifying event. Adam C. Smith, PGA on the importance of reaching out to new country club members to help grow the game at your facility: In our most recent years at

4 Page 4 of 5 Salisbury Country Club, we have had a significant amount of new members join the club. Our facility has made wonderful improvements to our golf course, swimming pool and fitness center. Although these changes have had a positive impact on bringing in new members and retaining the members we have had for years, our praise at Salisbury has always come from our professional customer service. A few years ago, I began to serve on our club's New Member Connection Committee. Once a month, I meet with our membership director and go over the list of the most recently joined families. With a simple phone call to each family, I introduce myself and welcome them to the club. I get to know their main interests and what parts of the club their families use the most. Since we have different classifications of membership, and not every member is a golfer, I make it a point to welcome everyone to the golf facility and offer help with all of our golfing services. From booking tee times to shopping in the golf shop, I let our new members know that we on the golf staff are eager to serve them. And, of course, I explain, in detail, the first class practice facility that we have at Salisbury. Adam C. Smith on the business impact of reaching out to new country club members to help grow the game at your facility: Every new member at Salisbury Country Club really appreciates being contacted by their PGA Professional. I have been able to offer more private and group golf instruction by meeting our new members. The welcoming of new members often creates new customers in the golf shop, promotes the practice facility and can increase tee times on the course for the new members and their guests. The "welcome to the club mentality" is received as a sincere way to offer first class customer service. Our membership director, general manager and board of directors all put forth the same effort to make all of the new members feel welcome. Having a consistent approach to welcoming everyone creates an opportunity to grow the game of golf and make the club's customer service atmosphere shine brightly.
