This type of filter is geerally used i idustrial applicatios where liquid water ad oil, ad harmful dirt particles must be removed from the compressed air system. This type of filter should also be used as a prefilter for the oalescig (oil removal) filter. irst Stage iltratio: ir eters at ilet port ad flows through deflector plate () which causes a swirlig actio. Liquids ad coarse particles are forced to the bowl iterior wall () by the cetrifugal actio of the swirlig air. They the carry dow the bowl wall by the force of gravity.
