2 Curriculum Pathways L3 technical curriculum pathways can be shaped in size to suite a students desired pathway (see next slide) An academic route for some Russell Group University entries could involve a smaller Technical Diploma with a greater number of 2 or 3 x AS/A2 qualifications. Apprenticeship or Foundation Degree/Full Degree entry for other universities or employers would involve the larger Technical with an additional AS/A2 qualification or Extended Project. An alternative for some students would be a blend of L3 Technical with resit GCSEs, Extended Project or booster subjects in Y12.

3 The Curriculum (Post 16) 60%= technical specialism L3 Cambridge Technical Diploma in Engineering or Media (CDM) up to 280 UCAS points (2 x A2 qualification size). 40%= additional AS/A2 qualifications. Alternative smaller Technical (Introductory or Subsidiary) Diploma (140 UCAS points 1 x A2 size or 210 UCAS 1.5 x A2) with more AS/A2 qualifications (students with A*/A profiles). Additional L2 route available (1 or 3 year pathway)

14 Current Progress? A destination focused organisation Post 16 ALPs targets = set against top 25% of schools & colleges. University destinations -100% above ALPs target (top 25 th Percentile). Apprenticeship destinations- 100% on target for entry requirements. 94% positive effort scores in trackers. L2 - All students entered employment moved on to FE or started L3 at UTC. 2 x P16 students won a bronze medal at Siemens UK Skills Competition this month! Y11 FFT data - Current progress in top 10% nationally. Y10 GCSE Core Science A*- C % (FFTD=73%) Outstanding technical learning module results. Predicted 75%+ 5 x A*-CEM (FFTD=67%)

16 Applying for a place UCAS Progress online application. Deadline for applications: 31 st January places available (Current UTC Y11 students have L3 priority places). L3 entry - 5 x A*-CEM at grade C (including Science for Engineering pathway). AS subject - a grade B minimum at GCSE. L2 admissions - 30 places allocated after August GCSE results day (Grade C/D profile students). Over subscribed? Post code allocations/lottery.
