1 Dear Friends, Matrix Technical Support Mailer 139 Matrix SPARSH M2S application in ETERNITY ME, GE and PE This mailer helps you to use Matrix SPARSH M2S application in ETERNITY ME, GE and PE for video calling. Introduction: Today in this era, voice communication over internet is preferred over traditional PSTN lines. But now video calling over internet has created a huge revolution as it offers people to have face-to-face communication. ETERNITY provides video calling over T1E1 trunks and ISDN terminals. However recently it is provided over SIP calling also. Matrix SPARSH M2S is developed for having video calling facility in ETERNITY. In this MTSM we will see how to turn a SIP call into a video call in SIP extension of ETERNITY with the help of Matrix SPARSH M2S. Points to be taken care of: ETERNITY supports video calling for SIP to SIP calls only. A normal SIP to SIP calling can be converted into a video call only if both the SIP extensions support video calling. For a video call two VoIP channels of ETERNITY are consumed. ETERNITY ME and GE support a maximum of 32 VoIP channels, so there can be a maximum of 16 simultaneous video calls.

2 In ETERNITY PE 8 simultaneous video calls can be possible as there can be only 16 VoIP channels at most in ETERNITY PE. The version of VoIP card must be V1R14 & above and version of master card of ETERNITY must be V11R3 and above. For registering SIP extension in ETERNITY, IP license must be activated. Five IP licenses are already there in ETERNITY but if you want register more than 5 SIP extensions then you have to purchase the license. How to configure: 1. Configuration at ETERNITY end Login as System Engineer in ETERNITY Jeeves. Go to SIP Extension Settings under VoIP Configuration. ETERNITY will provide you the number of SIP extensions available in ETERNITY. Select the SIP extension you want to register. Define the port number of VoIP card. Enable the checkbox of Enable SIP Extension. Give the name and SIP ID. These fields are user specific as you define any other extension like DKP and SLT. Name will be the name of the extension user and SIP ID will be the extension number. Say Steve Smith and SIP ID is 601. Keep Authentication ID same as SIP ID and keep password as Password though can contain alphanumeric characters and special characters like * and # up to 24 digits. Submit the page.

3 Click on any of the three locations as SPARSH M2S is registered as extended IP phone in ETERNITY. Say click on the first location here. Enable Matrix Extended Phone Mode checkbox. Select the Extended Phone Type as SPARSH MS. Define the MAC Address/IMEI/ESN Number of the device which will be having SPARSH M2S application in it. If you have a dual SIM phone, then enter the IMEI number on which internet is being accessed. You can enter the device ID in this case. Define the network connectivity of the device and ETERNITY by selecting internal registrar address and external registrar address.

Configuration at Client end: SPARSH M2S application Download the SPARSH M2S application from play store if it is an android phone or from apple store if it is an iphone. Install the application afterwards.

5 Open the application. Configure the necessary server settings in the application. For the settings to be done at this client side, please refer MTSM- 106 Configuring Matrix Mobex Client Application. On successful configuration your extension will look like this

6 Now call any other SIP extension say 615. You can dial the extension by searching in the contacts also. Here you can see three options are there for video call, audio call and messaging. Tap on the video call.

7 Video call Text/ IM Audio call This is your Video Else you can convert an audio call into a video call also. When you are conversing with another SIP extension, there will be an option to switch to video call on the top right hand side.

8 Click this icon for switching audio call into video call To access the features during the video call, you can tap on the screen and the features will appear on the screen.

9 Video conference is not supported in ETERNITY by for now. Video calling can be done in two SIP extensions when these two extensions are registered in the same VoIP card of a system. If two SIP extensions are registered in two different VoIP cards of a system then video calling is not possible. This way you can have the facility of video calling in ETERNITY using Matrix SPARSH M2S.
