1 Matrix Technical Support Mailer - 72 Procedure for Image Upload through Server in SATATYA DVR,NVR & HVR Dear Friends, This mailer will help you configure Notification in SATATYA Web Client for any of the events among Motion Detection, View Tampering or Connection Failure. The notification that will be received by the administrator will also have the image in attachment to view what happened when the motion was detected. The camera can detect three type of events: Motion Detection, Video Tamper and Connection Failure. SATATYA HVR Camera The HVR then requests to send the notification about any one of the events to the mail server specified. The mail server, then, verifies the details and sends the containing the image as an attachment to the recipient. notification on address Mail Server

2 For security purposes, sometimes there s a need to capture the image of the test area whenever there is some motion detected. This image has to be sent to the administrator through some media because it cannot be uploaded directly. For this, service is used. Whenever the motion is detected in the area of interest, the having the image attached is sent to the administrator s address allowing him to be aware of the stimuli. Matrix SATATYA lets you do this in two ways: 1. Adding the Client and 2. Configuring the action for Image Upload. Adding the client is necessary to specify the address and the server through which the mail will be sent to. Whereas configuring the action for Image Upload will let the user specify the action for which the is to be sent. It can be any one out of these: 1. Motion Detection, 2. View Tampering and 3. Connection Failure. To start with the procedure, we first need to configure the medium for Image Upload i.e. the Server. This will let us select the camera whose image will be uploaded and attached to the . After configuring this, we will go to adding the client and configuring the action for image upload.

3 To do the above process, follow mentioned steps: 1. Open Web Client and enter the IP Address of the device. By default, the IP Address of the device is Enter Username and Password and click Login to login to the device. By default, the username and password is admin.

4 3. Go to Device Configuration. This will open Device Configuration.

5 4. Click Camera Settings>>Image Upload. 5. Select the camera of which the Image is to be uploaded.

6 6. Select Server out of the options because we are selecting an server as the medium for this example. 7. Enter a receiver s address, subject and the message accordingly. Maximum images to be uploaded per minute can also be selected.

7 8. Click on Save to save the configuration. I. Adding the Client: 1. Go to Network Settings>> Client

8 2. Check the Enable Service. 1. Enter Mail Server and Port, Sender s Username and Password and ID and check Encryption (SSL) checkbox accordingly. For this example, we have selected Gmail server. Any mail server can be selected like Gmail, yahoo, live etc.

9 Enter Receiver s ID and click Test to test the reception. NOTE: To know Port of other servers and whether to enable the Encryption (SSL) flag or not, you can refer this page: Then the details can be entered accordingly. The system will send the test mail successfully.

10 II. Configuring the action for Notification 1. Click Event and Action Settings. 2. Select the Camera for which the action is to be configured.

11 3. Select the Event Type and check Action flag to enable the action for the aforesaid event. 4. Click Set to set the schedule for the action.

12 1. Check the Entire Day (to set the schedule for the entire day) and Image Flag. 2. Click All to set the schedule for all day or select the days accordingly.

13 3. Click OK. 4. Click Image Upload.

14 5. Select the Camera of which the Image is to be uploaded. 6. Click OK.

15 7. Click Save to save the configuration. In this way, one can configure Image Upload through Server for Events like Motion Detection, View Tamper and Connection Failure. The mail received is shown below.
