SpA - INDUSTRIA LOBARDA ATERIALE ELETTRICO - has been operatng n lan snce 1938, n partcular n the electrotechncal sector for the manufacture of equpment for ndustral nstallatons. ILE reflects the tradtonal entrepreneural sprt of Lombardy, and has enjoyed contnuous expanson for over half a century. The company has carved an mportant role for tself n the prncpal world markets, also operatng drectly n the countres that have assumed world leadershp n the feld of automaton, ncludng Germany and Japan. In the electrcal connecton sector wth applcatons n ndustral automaton, charactersed by top performance and utmost relablty needs, ILE s today the acknowledged partner of many leadng companes worldwde. CE markng As from 1 January 1997, n order to launch electrcal products on the European market the manufacturer must ensure these bear the relevant CE mark, n lne wth the Low Voltage Drectve 73/23/ EEC * (mplemented n Italy as L. D no. 791) and ts modfcaton 93/68/EEC * (mplemented n Italy as L.D no. 626/96, publshed n the supplement to the Gazzetta Uffcale of ). The mark must be vsble on the product or, f ths s not possble, on the packagng, the nstructons for use or on the warranty certfcate. It acts as a declaraton by the manufacturer that the product comples wth all relevant EU drectves regardng ts feld of applcaton. ILE products bear the CE mark on the actual product or ts packagng. Almost all ILE products fall wthn the feld of applcaton of the Low Voltage Drectve. A declaraton of conformty s requred n order to be able to apply the CE mark. Ths declaraton, to whch the market s not drectly enttled, must be made avalable to the controllng authortes (n Italy, the nstry for Industry, Commerce and Handcraft) at all tmes. In t, the manufacturer declares the techncal safety standard(s) followed n the manufacture of the product. These standards must be, n decreasng order of preference: - a European standard (EN prefx) - a European harmonsaton document (HD prefx) - an nternatonal IEC standard - a natonal standard - n the absence of reference standards, the manufacturer s nternal specfcatons guaranteeng complance wth the basc safety requrements of the drectve. Complance wth harmonsed techncal standards (.e. ratfed by CENELEC) also consttutes presumed complance wth the basc safety requrements of the drectves. The CE markng of ILE products results from the declaraton of conformty of the product to harmonsed standards or nternatonal IEC standards. 9 ULTIPOLE CONNECTORS T-TYPE Standard Techncal data T-TYPE Standard for modular and standard nserts focus on: ➊ Constructon ➍ dmensons By usng the BC-UL mouldng technque and use of IL.BOX materal, these enclosures are structurally sold and mechancally robust, due to ther ncreased thckness. They are partcularly resstant to the man pollutants present n ndustral envronments. The lever enclosure pegs are bult nto the enclosures. The methods for fastenng the connector nserts to the enclosures are made of 3 threaded metal nserts. Wth reference to metal constructon enclosures, whch to comply wth the electrcal nstallaton safety norms, must be earthed va a metal connecton to the groundng termnal of the nserts mounted nsde the enclosures, the new seres of enclosures offers a soluton for total nsulaton constructons (equvalent to class II) where necessary. The thermoplastc materal used s RAL 7012 dark grey colour and UL 94V-2 grade self-extngushng and has passed glow wre testng n accordance wth the IEC (EN) at 650 C n complance wth ntended uses. The nternal dmensons allow mountng of all connector nserts n ther relevant szes. The external dmensons of the bulkhead mountng housngs are smlar to those of the correspondng metallc enclosures; hole fxng centres are unchanged. Hoods offer an nner cablng space smlar to that of the hgh constructon models of the correspondng metal enclosures. The connector (although offered to the user as a varety of elements, usually nserts and enclosures, to allow the selecton of the deal combnaton) has been desgned as a sngle part and tested to be complant wth the essental safety requrements of the EU Low Volage Drectve 2006/95/EC and n partcular the EN standard. The desgn of ths modular system guarantees that every approved combnaton of nserts, enclosures and accessores cannot result as mproper. The products n ths catalogue alone cannot guarantee the best functonalty upon nstallaton, as ths depends also on ther correct nstallaton nto servce whch must be performed n complance wth the applcable system safety standards and accordng to the rule of the art. Therefore the effectveness of the nstallaton of the connector depends on the choces of the end user who must also take nto account the followng safety requrements. Connectors must not be connected or dsconnected when lve or under load. After wrng the nserts t s necessary to verfy the contnuty of the protectve earth connectons. The correct couplng of the nserts s guaranteed only f they are nstalled (wth the four fxng screws suppled) nsde the correspondng enclosures or onto compatble accessores n ths catalogue. I.L..E. SpA s not responsble for any dfferent applcaton. Wrng of screw-type termnal connectons must be carred out applyng the correct tghtenng torque n order to avod false contacts or damage to the conductor, the screw or the termnal. Crmpng tools and contacts used should preferably be suppled by the same manufacturer to avod dffcultes wth the nserton and retenton of the contacts themselves. Correct wrng of sprng-clamp connecton nserts s guaranteed only when the correct screwdrver ndcated n the specfc catalogue, or possbly on the nsert, s used.
