1 Main Purpose of the Job Deliver as part of a small team, a project - Deaf Achieve; funded by The Big Lottery. The aim of the project is to support Deaf people to live fulfilling, independent lives through improved wellbeing and skills development. The project will deliver informative workshops, skills/training and one to one support focussed on individual and project outcomes. Main Duties and Responsibilities Deliver project activities in line with The Big Lottery contract with particular focus on the project milestones and outcomes. Promote the project to the Deaf community in Essex, Suffolk and London. Support the London based Project Worker if and when required. Ensure all monitoring information and evidence is collated and submitted accurately and on time to the Project Leader. Liaise with other teams across the organisation to ensure effective internal referral processes are maintained. Keep the Project Leader informed of project progress including any unforeseen problems or delays. Carry out client assessments to establish individuals needs. Plan, prepare and deliver individual and/or group support in accordance with the contractual targets. Deliver training and workshops, as appropriate and within the boundaries of the role. Ensure effective methods of obtaining client feedback are always implemented and appropriate actions taken to make improvements/inform delivery. Refer clients to other services as appropriate. Attend team meetings and provide a valuable contribution to the team/service. Carry out the above duties in accordance with RAD's policies, procedures and guidelines. Act responsibly for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and clients, as well as take responsibility for safety and security of premises and equipment. 1

2 Ensure that all project activities have been appropriately risk assessed and appropriate documentation filed. Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time by the Project Leader or National Employment and Skills Manager. Conduct yourself, at all times, in a professional manner. Lead by example and foster amongst staff and volunteers, the highest standards of service. Report immediately and in confidence to the Chief Executive or a trustee any suspicion of possible financial impropriety in the affairs and conduct of the Association. Preserve the confidentiality of information to which you are privy by virtue of the position in line with RAD s confidentiality policy. Be deaf aware and use sign language where appropriate. 2

3 Dimensions Work Hours: Office Location: Responsible to: 15 hours per week, with some flexibility to accommodate the requirements of the project, i.e., occasional weekends or evenings.
