2 RESEARCH Dissertation: Block Scheduling: Focusing on the instructional practices of a seventhgrade Language Arts teacher newly introduced to a block scheduling format Pilot Study: A ten-week pilot study focusing on the instructional practices of a seventh grade Language Arts teacher newly introduced to a block scheduling format. Virginia Tech, 1996 Assistantship Data Analysis for a Mentoring Program conducted by Dr. Susan Magliaro. Coded data in preparation for data analysis. Presentation of Paper at AERA conference. Assistantship Conducted focus group interviews and data analysis for the Office of Academic Enrichment concerning the conditions at Virginia Tech affecting Caucasian students academic performance. The results of this study were compared with a parallel study of African American students. Ethnographic Ethnographic Research project involving the Middle School Restructuring task force of a Public School in Virginia. The group documented the procedures and processes of a restructuring process. A readers theater piece, Voices of Restructuring: Talk from the Middle Schools, was developed from such documentation. Research accepted and presented at AERA and NCTE.
