2 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE-- K-12 Education August Present ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS Virginia 5,519 students Assistant Principal Smithfield High School Responsible for assisting the school principal in the planning, organization, administration, and management of the school with emphasis on improving the instructional program. Duties include: Master Scheduling, development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan, Attendance/Truancy Monitoring, professional development program, new initiative development (universal school-wide literacy plan, RTI program, grading policy, instructional modeling team, etc.), transportation, supervision of special education for grades 10 th and 11 th, and supervising the instructional quality of content area departments. Secondary Summer School Principal Isle of Wight County Schools Responsible for the development and administration of the secondary summer school program. The program consisted of a 5-week credit recovery program that was delivered via a hybrid framework (50/50 face to face instruction & online learning). Other duties includes supervisory role over hiring and training of teachers, discipline, transportation, and overall quality of instruction.
