Department of Teacher Education required research practicum project, Michigan State University, Cohort Leader/Research Assistant, Urban Partnerships Supporting Transformative Alternative Routes to Teaching (UPSTART), Michigan State University, Responsibilities included monitoring students progress throughout program, conducting programmatic interviews after each academic semester, professional resource for program cohort, and conducting programmatic research on the cohort structure. Site Coordinator, Lansing School District Freedom School, Lansing School District, Lansing, Michigan, Proposed the idea of starting a Children s Defense Fund Freedom School to the Lansing School District and worked with administrators to implement program. Responsibilities included managing the daily operations of the site; assisting the parent coordinator in organizing parent workshops and other parental involvement initiatives; collecting data for national and site assessment and evaluation; observing intern teaching; facilitating the daily debriefing sessions with interns.
