Course/Program Development Summer 2010 Developed basic educational statistics course; instrumental in having course adopted as prerequisite for Research Methods course Spring 2010 present One of four faculty members responsible for implementing the Louisiana Schools Turnaround Specialist Program to area principals from four area parishes as result of grant awarded to LSUS( ) from the Louisiana Department of Education Louisiana Leader Fellows Program Developed and submitted proposal for a program to attract and select candidates to participate in a full-time, accelerated educational leadership program. LSUS proposal was selected as one of two programs to be funded. Ten teacher leaders from across Louisiana were selected to participate in the intense 13-month program. The delivery of the program curriculum utilized interactive technology-based instruction as well as building and district level field experience as part of the learning process. Involved in selection of candidates, training of mentors for both programs, development of program delivery, and developing experiences for candidates on district level involving community partners in the grant Program ReDesign Master of Education in Curriculum/Instruction Worked with educators in area to restructure the program of study for teachers of the academically gifted. Using the standards from the National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC) and the Council of Exception Children (CEC), a strong graduate program was developed to prepare area teachers to work with academically gifted students. New courses were developed and old courses were redesigned. Field experiences were developed and assessments aligned with standards present Course Updating/Alignment with Standards Redesigned syllabi for courses taught and those in which serve as Instructor of Record to align with standards.
