1 Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden rules Art. 1 The Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden is a Golazo sports organization in collaboration with vzw Sportinez and is opening this season for the 25 th time. Art. 2 All cyclists entitled to take part in the A-category cross-country races in accordance with UCI/KBWB regulations, are eligible for overall classification. Pre-registration is compulsory. Every cyclist receives three entry tickets (cyclist, 2x mechanics, support person). Art. 3 The prize package of the Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden , in the amount of EURO, shall be divided based on the final ranking of the three following categories: The prize package of the "Elite cyclists with or without contract" amounts to EURO, to be divided among the 10 best-ranked cyclists according to the below-mentioned standard: The prize package of the "Promising cyclists" (U23) category amounts to EURO, to be divided among the 5 best-ranked cyclists according to the below-mentioned standard:

2 The prize package of the "Women" category amounts to EURO, to be divided among the 10 best-ranked cyclists according to the below-mentioned standard: The "Newcomers" category will receive prizes in kind, to be divided among the 5 best-ranked cyclists: 1. Prize in kind 2. Prize in kind 3. Prize in kind 4. Prize in kind 5. Prize in kind Art. 4 Elite cyclists Points shall be awarded to the first 20 cyclists respectively after every trophy ride: Promising cyclists (U23) Separate promising cycling races take place. Points shall be awarded to the first 20 promising cyclists. Women The elite women can collect points for the final ranking in 6 races: Oudenaarde, Essen, Loenhout, Baal, Lille and Oostmalle. The following points shall be awarded to the first 20 women of these races: Newcomers Separate races for newcomers take place. The following points shall be awarded to the first 20 newcomers.

3 Art. 5 Intermediate sprint ranking (Elite men only) Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden. An intermediate sprint is organized during every round of the criterium race, as follows: - at the end of the second round, cyclists are able to gain extra points for the final ranking, as follows: winner of the intermediate sprint: 3 points for final ranking runner-up of the intermediate sprint: 2 points for final ranking third place of the intermediate sprint: 1 point for final ranking - In the event of equal points, the day s results of the last completed race are - A separate ranking of the intermediate sprints is established for the elite men only. The final winner of the intermediate sprints is the cyclist who has gathered the most points in the intermediate sprints. This cyclist shall receive a cheque to the value of EURO at the prize-giving. - Points for the intermediate sprint ranking are only awarded to cyclists who, having received points in this regard, did indeed complete the respective race. Art.6 Belgacom Fastest Round (Elite men only) Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden. A Belgacom Fastest Round is organized during every round of the criterium race, as follows: - All Elite men ride with an electronic chip. They are issued at registration. The chip must be returned after the race. If not, a deposit of 25 EURO shall be deducted from the registration fee. - The cyclist completing the fastest round is the winner of the Belgacom Fastest Round. - The second and third positions also qualify for Belgacom Fastest Round prizes. - The three fastest rounds can never be awarded to 1 cyclist: if more than 1 fastest round is achieved by the same cyclist, the prize is subsequently awarded to the next fastest round of a different cyclist. - The first round does not count. - In order to qualify for prizes, cyclists must complete the entire race, officially finish and be taken up in the final ranking.

4 - There are 3 monetary prizes per round: Winner of the Belgacom Fastest Round: EURO Second: 500 EURO Third: 250 EURO The Belgacom Fastest Round for the entire GVA Trofee season is awarded at the final gala of the GVA Trofee. The cyclist who has the most victories in the Belgacom Fastest Round ranking is the overall final winner and receives a cheque of EURO. In the event of a tie, the winner of the Belgacom Fastest Round is the one who has won a specific round of the GvA Trofee by the biggest margin. Art. 7 The Gazet van Antwerpen Trofee Veldrijden Programme season: 01 /11/2011: Koppenbergcross Oudenaarde 06/11/2011: GP Mario De Clercq Ronse-Kluisbergen 19/11/2011: Grote Prijs Hasselt 17/12/2011: Grote Prijs Rouwmoer Essen 28/12/2011: Azencross Loenhout 01/01/2012: Grote Prijs Sven Nys Baal 04/02/2012: Krawatencross Lille 19/02/2012: Internationale Sluitingsprijs Oostmalle Art. 8 All points obtained in the 8 races are taken into account for the final results of the Elite cyclists with or without contract" category. Therefore, all races are taken into consideration for the final ranking, irrespective of the number of races. Art. 9 All points obtained in the 6 best races are taken into account for the final results of the Promising cyclists category (U23). There is a promising cyclists race in the 8 rounds of the GVA trofee. In the event that a cyclist gains points in all 8 rounds, he may drop his two worst results.

5 Art. 10 All points obtained in the 6 races are taken into account for the final results of the Women s category. These 6 races are: Oudenaarde, Essen, Loenhout, Baal, Lille and Oostmalle. For the programme and dates, see Art. 7. Art. 11 All points obtained in the 6 best races are taken into account for the final results of the Newcomers category. There is a newcomers race in the 8 rounds of the GVA trofee. In the event that a cyclist gains points in all 8 rounds, he may drop his two worst results. Art. 12 All prize winners shall be invited to the prize-giving. This prize-giving shall be held on Monday evening 20 February 2012 in the auditorium of the KBC-Tower in Antwerp. Every cyclist shall collect his prize personally unless he can provide a valid reason for being represented. Art. 13 The first three cyclists of every race in all the categories of elite cyclists, promising cyclists, women and newcomers, shall move over to the Gazet van Antwerpen podium after the race to be honoured. The leaders of every intermediate ranking shall also move to the podium after every race for the ceremony and make themselves available to the press. Art. 14 An intermediate ranking shall be established after every trophy race which the cyclist is able to consult upon registration for the following race. The complete final ranking shall be published after completion of the last race in the Gazet van Antwerpen and on its official website Art. 15 A cyclist village will be provided for all cyclists belonging to the categories of elite men, promising cyclists and elite women. All cyclists shall have to set up their respective campers in the village in accordance with current organizational regulations. The team leaders of the (pro)continental teams are requested to contact the organization in good time so as to make the necessary practical arrangements with regard to receiving their respective campers.

6 Art. 16 All elite cyclists, promising cyclists, elite women and newcomers shall report at least 15 minutes before the start of their race to the Gazet van Antwerpen podium in order to sign the competition form. Art. 17 Upon request of the organization, numbers of the race 'elite' shall move over to the organization s VIP area after prize-giving for a short interview. This is organized by the chief of press in consultation with the organization. In the event that numbers do not wish to be interviewed, they will be fined an amount of 500. Art. 18 Any matters not provided in these rules shall be decided upon by the umbrella committee.
