1 DDF Conference 2015 Mobile App DDF 2015 Mobile App User Guide In a bid to reduce our carbon footprint, DDF 2015 Conference will be a paperless event. We have developed a dedicated mobile application for you to download which will replace the traditional printed programme. With the mobile application you can: Browse or search all the abstracts by topic or keyword and download PDF versions Build your conference agenda and plan your day Browse exhibitors and add them to your personalised favourites Stay informed with daily DDF 2015 Conference news and updates Find your way around with maps of the venue, the exhibition and the surrounding area The Main Dashboard When you open the DDF 2015 Conference app, you ll be greeted with the main dashboard as shown below: Tap the search icon at the top of the main dasboard to activate a global keyword search across all contnet within the DDF 2015 Confence app. Page 1 of 16

2 Programme The Programme section shows you all of the different sessions available to attend at DDF Conference Initially, you will be presented with the list view of the programme. Under list view, you ll see two different tabs allowing you to filter the sessions by time or by session track: Each day of the programme is shown as a tab at the bottom of the screen. View Your Personal Agenda Tap to view your personal agenda that will be populated with your selections (see the session details screen). Search Sessions The search function allows you to locate a session based on a keyword that may be part of the session title or description. Tap the search icon at the top of the session list to enter your search criteria. Page 2 of 16

3 Once you ve found the session you re interested in, tap to open it and you ll see the session details. Use the tabs to access information about the speakers and any presentations that are part of this session. If you wish to add this session to your personal agenda. If you wish to make your own notes about any session you can tap the note icon. If you wish to provide feedback about this session Page 3 of 16

4 Speakers As well as viewing the speakers via the Programme, you can also find them in the dedicated Speakers list: The search function allows you to locate a speaker based on a keyword that may be part of their name of contained with the speaker s biography. Tap the search icon at the top of the speaker list to enter your search criteria. Once you ve found your speaker, tap on their listing to open their profile here, you ll see info on the speaker and using the Sessions tab, you can see the sessions they will be speaking at: Page 4 of 16

5 Tap this icon if you wish to add this speaker to your faourites for easy reference via the My Event section. Tap this icon if you wish to make your own notes about any speaker. Page 5 of 16

6 Exhibitors Here, you can view an A-Z listing of all exhibitors with their information and location within the exhibition hall. The search function allows you to locate an exhibitor based on a keyword that may be part of their name of contained with the exhibitor s description. Tap the search icon at the top of the exhibitor list to enter your search criteria. Once you ve found your exhibitor, tap on their listing to open the exhibitor s profile here, you ll see information about the exhibitor, their stand location and contact details. Tap this icon if you wish to add this exhibitor to your faourites for easy reference via the My Event section. Tap this icon if you wish to make your own notes about any exhibitor. Page 6 of 16

7 Abstracts Here, you can view an A-Z listing of all abstracts with their description, presenting authors, session details and the option to download a PDF version of the abstract. The two tabs filter the list into abstracts that will be presented in a session (Oral) and those that will be presented as posters. The search function allows you to locate an abstract based on a keyword that may be part of the abstract title or contained within the abstract description. You can also filter the search results by abstract topic. Page 7 of 16

8 Tap the search icon at the top of the abstract list to enter your keyword search criteria and optionally filter the results by topic. Page 8 of 16

9 Once you ve found the abstract you are interested in, tap on the listing to view the abstract here, you ll see information about the abstract, the session it will be presented in and the option to downloadable PDF version. Tap this icon if you wish to add this abstract to your faourites for easy reference via the My Event section. Tap this icon if you wish to make your own notes about any abstract. Page 9 of 16

10 Mapping When you first open the mapping widget, you ll see a venue location map the full venue details can then be found via the Venue button: Page 10 of 16

11 The floorplan button opens the interactive map of the show floor. Tapping on a booth will bring up the exhibitor s details linked to that booth. Lastly, the Map button will open a list of static venue maps for you to take a look at. Page 11 of 16

12 Info This section contains all sorts of useful information, from details about the event to accommodation advice. You can also find details of who to contact with any queries should the app not hold the answers you need! Page 12 of 16

13 My Event With so much great content available the DDF 2015 Conference app allows you to favourite content within the app so you can quickly find it again in this section. From here you can quickly access your bookmarked favourites and access your personal agenda. Tap the share icon to generate an that will include all the content that you have favourited including your notes. Page 13 of 16

14 Messages Here, you ll find any notifications sent out by the DDF 2015 Conference team via the app under the Alerts tab for example, if a session changes rooms, or a speaker drops out, we ll let you know! You ll also be able to see any Networking messages you ve received in your Inbox, or messages you ve sent out to other attendees in your Sent section. Page 14 of 16

15 Social Media and Activity Stream DDF 2015 Mobile App User Guide This is a curation of a variety of content from the event event activity, news, user-generated discussion and social media contributions. Tap the Post icon to create a post and share your thoughts with your fellow attendees. Why not include a photo to capture the moment. Tap a list entry to view more details and view the related tweets, sessions, speakers or exhibitors and add your comment to the posting. Tap the view the related content in full. Tap the submit your comments. Tap the favourite this post for quick access via the My Event section. Share this post via , twitter or other methods supported by your device. Page 15 of 16
