3 Homepage The homepage is the first place you land when you log in. This is where you can find out the most important things going on in your Idea Spotlight. All ideas, challenges, communities or users in the Spotlight can be accessed here Here you can search through all ideas, challenges and people Your Idea Spotlight dashboard displaying statistics can be viewed here Access your profile here. From the profile icon you can access account settings, and there are also links to your ideas and drafts Submit a help ticket here Here is where you can find out more about your Spotlight. What the purpose behind it is, and what your organisation is looking for. Also any updates might be featured here. Here are all the featured challenges on your homepage. Click on them to see more detail about each challenge Click here to get involved in the different challenges on offer in your organisation. By clicking on these you can read more information and respond with an idea.
4 Homepage Analytics
5 Update Profile Click on this cog symbol to edit your profile fields Here you can see any ideas or drafts which you have You can change your profile picture here. This will sit next to any ideas you enter on the system Here you can fill in the fields in your profile which will be visible by others in your organisation Some fields will be required and some will be optional, adding your details will help colleagues search for you within the Spotlight Don t forget to update profile to save the changes
6 Dashboard Your dashboard is your personalised home page in Idea Spotlight. The dashboard provides a simple top-level view into the ideas you are associated with and the active ideas in your organisation. View the most active and popular ideas in your organisation here Track any ideas you have here Your organisations key contributors are listed here This dashboard is customisable and is made up of widgets which can be reorganised by dragging and dropping them Any ideas or challenges which you are following will be listed here
7 Managing Notifications You can choose to receive notifications about activity in Idea Spotlight by and/or inside the Spotlight app. To adjust your notification settings visit the account settings menu under your profile and click the notifications tab. Here you can turn on or off which notifications you receive. Your password for entering the Spotlight can be changed here You can turn notifications on and off here both in the app and on Remember if you are following an idea, challenge or conversation you will also be receiving notifications for any updates
8 Creating an Idea Enter the title of your idea here, if there are any similar ideas in your spotlight they will appear below and you can chose whether to add to an existing idea or to create a new idea Then you will be presented with an idea form, fill in the relevant information, and then publish your idea. Idea forms differ from challenge to challenge, so the idea form which you are filling out might not look exactly like this one You have the option to add any videos, pictures or documents which will enhance or support your idea If you would like to add team members to your idea, type their names here and they will pre-populate. Team members will be given editing rights for ideas. Once you ve entered all the data to your idea, press preview to see what the idea will look like once it has been published.
9 Previewing your Idea You may then be asked to share your idea. You can share with group by typing in the name of the groups, or with individuals by typing their names in the box.
10 Working in Teams Teams allow a group of people to work on an idea together and all be associated with it. Teams can be applied on a challenge-by-challenge basis so not all challenges may have the Teams functionality enabled. If Teams are enabled on a challenge there will be an Add Team Members section on the create new idea page where you can add the names of people you wish to work on an idea with. Team Lead role the person who first creates the idea is designated a Team Lead. A Team Lead can add and remove members and make others leads. You can have more than one Team Lead.
11 Feedback on an Idea If you would like to voice your opinion about your colleagues' ideas just click on the title of the idea. This will show you the description of the idea, and various options for how you can respond and give feedback on that idea. Comment on an idea to contribute and share your opinion Share the idea with others in your system by clicking here, this will invite them to come and look at your idea Manage the idea here Show your opinion on an idea by voting it up and down Follow an idea to receive notifications and be kept up to date with its progress View the history of the idea by clicking here Edit the idea here Add team members here Delete the idea here
12 Reviewing Ideas Once ideas have been submitted for review, review panel members can begin to review ideas. The members of the review panel will receive an in-app notification and an , saying they have been added to a review board, and they will be able to review ideas. On the task management page reviewers can see all ideas awaiting their review and click through to each one to place their review. You can also filter ideas by status on the challenge page, to show just ideas in review.
13 Reviewing Ideas Once ideas have been submitted for review Reviewers see a review panel on ideas. Only reviewers, admins and managers see this review panel. This is a private space where reviewers can be open and honest in their feedback. The ideas for review will be added as tasks to the reviewers task management page. These tasks will provide links to the ideas which you have to review. Only lead reviewers will be able to Submit Review Decision and make the final decision on the idea. Once a decision has been made on the progress of the idea, type the feedback to the idea submitter in this box, this will be sent as a private to the idea submitter. You can choose to publicise the response if you wish. Rate the idea based on criteria set up. This can be in a checkbox, text box or radio-dial format. Submit the rating so other reviewers can see how you rate the idea. Reviewers who have submitted their ratings on this idea will be shown here, alongside the score they have given it. An internal private discussion between reviewers can be had by commenting in this box.
14 Task Management Any tasks which require actions will be displayed in the Task Management section of your homepage. You will receive notifications here telling you how many tasks you have pending. These notifications remain until you have completed the tasks Here the list of pending tasks is displayed. By clicking on the ID of the task you will be linked to the relevant page and where you can complete the task. You can download the list of tasks you have to complete by clicking here, and they will be sent in a CSV file to your address.
15 Discover Page The Discover page shows all the ideas, challenges, people, conversations and communities in your Idea Spotlight. You can choose to filter and sort the data in various ways to display the content you are looking for. By default it shows all active challenges when you land on the page. Use the search bar to look for specific terms. You can see the results of your search here in the form of cards that display a summary of each item. Click the card to be taken to the full details. Use these sorts and filters to choose the content you wish to display
16 Conversations Conversations allow for discussion threads around topics within your organisation. You can share the conversation with others in your spotlight here You can follow the conversation to review notifications and keep updated with its progress here Read the details of the conversation here You can filter the responses by either most recent or most popular here You can contribute to the conversation by typing your input here, and then pressing comment
