3 The business world changes continuously. In this programme you feel the vitality. Why this programme? The saying goes that the world fits in the palm of your hand. Developments in communication, IT, marketing flash before our eyes at a never-seen-before rapid pace. Suddenly it has become true that the United States, China or India are just a mouse click away. Employees with an internationally oriented mindset are very much wanted by employers: they have learned to be flexible, they can easily deal with changes, they got to know other cultures and habits They often possess excellent language skills. In an internationally oriented environment (all classes are taught in English), Belgian and international guest lecturers will be your guides and introduce you into the world of accounting, management, law, finance, marketing etc. You learn to develop a strong, in-depth and international view in order to start building an international career. Combine this with international cases, study trips abroad and you will see: the world lies at your feet! In your second year, an international study trip to New York and/or Beijing is part of the curriculum. You will spend your entire third year abroad. All our lecturers have acquired the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).

Dutch-speaking students who want to be immersed in a fascinating, international environment: you follow courses with international students, you learn to pay attention to intercultural communication and you get to know a wide range of business management topics. Foreign students who wish to enrol for a selection of courses taught in English or who wish to study a semester, one or more years at Artevelde University College to gain a bachelor s degree. Residents in Belgium who possess a degree (secondary school, bachelor or master) from abroad, and who wish to obtain a bachelor s degree in International Business Management. Admission and enrolment procedure The enthusiasm of our teachers is really contagious. They bring the real world into the programme through practical examples. It gives you an idea of how many hours you have to work on a course unit in one academic year. One credit is good for 25 to 30 hours of work (going to lessons, study, tasks and group assignments). The intention is to convert the credits for which you register into credits or credit certificates. These credits show your proficiency in a particular course unit. To gain credits for a course unit you need to obtain 10 out of 20. A bachelor s degree programme comprises 180 credits. We offer trial studying days in the second semester. Academic year KantieNberg campus If you choose International Business Management, then classes will be taught on the Kantienberg campus. Our largest and most recent campus is situated in the centre of Ghent. In addition to a series of specific practical rooms there is an upto-date multimedia library and a student canteen offering varied and healthy meals.
