11 Specialty Camps Lekha publishers & School of creative writing At Lekha, we believe that children are capable of doing much more than what adults think they can do. Our students are taught to think out of the box. Quite a few of our students have gone on to publish their own novels, non-fiction works and short stories. The latest feather in our cap was 13 year old Yalda Alexandra Saii, whose novella, The Sassy Divas was reviewed by Kirkus reviews. All our teachers are published authors with experience teaching children. Please feel free to visit our website at for more details about The Lekha Way. Create-A-Book AGES 7-12 The art of bookmaking will be the focus of this week. Participants will also be introduced to simple binding techniques. They will learn how to make shape books, pop ups books, accordion books, and flag books. In addition to bookmaking students will be introduced to different styles of creative writing. Creative Writing AGES 7-12 Campers will learn the time-tested methods to overcome writer s block. As they do so they will write short stories, poems, and short skits.
