2 1.0 Executive Summary The purpose of this business plan is to raise $150,000 for the development of an iphone and android app development company that will sell applications specific for disaster and emergency response. The public is a resource and oftentimes the initial and first reports we get are people putting up information, from tweets, from Flickr and Facebook. Rather than waiting for that to come up, we want to build an App for this purposes so people would be doing that in the app that will allow it to be shared with other responders. The mobile app will have a Crowdsourcing and Disaster Reporter function feature that will allow citizens to report photograph and explain conditions in their local area. The app will allow people to upload photographs and descriptions of disaster areas, which will be geo-tagged with the GPS technology embedded with most smartphones. The photos can be moderated and then posted on a map for the public and emergency managers to view. From this, organizations responsible for emergence response could then get a more complete picture of a disaster as it unfolds and send resources exactly where the needs have been reported. In addition to uploading data through the Disaster Reporter function, the mobile app will also provide useful information to people trying to get help. The app will contain disaster safety tips, an interactive emergency kit list, emergency meeting location information and a dynamic map pointing to open shelters and Disaster Recovery Centers in the area. 1.1 Products and Services The primary revenue center for the business will come from the ongoing development of emergency response applications for the iphone (as well as the ipad) that will be sold through the Google and Apple App Store. The business will also generate revenues from developing applications on an outsourced basis on behalf of third parties. The third section of the business plan will further discuss the operations of the Climate Response App Developer. 1.2 The Financing Mr. Michael is seeking to raise $150,000 from as a bank loan. The interest rate and loan agreement are to be further discussed during negotiation. This business plan assumes that the business will receive a 10 year loan with a 9% fixed interest rate. The financing will be used for the following: Development of the Company s application development platform. Financing for the first six months of operation. Capital to purchase servers, computers, and related technology. Mr. Iyanro will contribute $25,000 from family and friends.

3 1.3 Mission Statement Climate Response App Developer s mission is to develop high quality disaster and emergency response applications for Apple and Android based consumer electronic devices. 1.4 Management Team The Company was founded by Michael Iyanro. Mr. Iyanro has more than 8 years of experience in the software programming industry. Through his expertise, he will be able to bring the operations of the business to profitability within its first year of operations. 1.5 Sales Forecasts Mr. Iyanro expects a strong rate of growth at the start of operations. Below are the expected financials over the next three years. 1.6 Expansion Plan The Founder expects that the business will aggressively expand during the first three years of operation. Mr. Iyanro intends to implement marketing campaigns that will effectively target individuals and businesses that want in demand android, iphone and ipad applications.

The Company will be registered as a corporation in Lagos, Nigeria. 2.2 Required Funds At this time, the Climate Response App Developer requires $150,000 of debt funds. Below is a breakdown of how these funds will be used: 2.3 Investor Equity Mr. Iyanro is seeking for an investment from all angles at this time. 2.4 Management Equity Michael Iyanro owns 100% of the Climate Response App Developer, Inc.

The business will not earn ongoing royalties from the ongoing sale of these programs. 4.1 Economic Outlook 4.0 Strategic and Market Analysis This section of the analysis will detail the economic climate, the software development industry, the customer profile, and the competition that the business will face as it progresses through its business operations. Currently, the economic market condition in Africa is sluggish. This slowdown in the economy has also greatly impacted real estate sales, which has halted to historical lows. Many economists expect that this sluggish will continue for a significant period of time, at which point the economy will begin a prolonged recovery period. 4.2 Industry Analysis Currently, there are approximately 200,000 applications that are available through the Apple App Store. Many industry experts anticipate that there will be more than 1 million applications available by the end of The average sales price of an application is $5.50.

6 4.3 Customer Profile The Climate Response App Developer s average client will be a young middle to upper middle class male of female or businesses that owns an Apple and Android consumer product. Common traits among end users will include: Annual household income exceeding $50,000 Between the ages of 25 to 50 Has high speed internet access Owns an android, iphone, ipod Touch, or ipad. 4.0 Marketing Plan The Climate Response App Developer intends to maintain an extensive marketing campaign that will ensure maximum visibility for the business in its targeted market. Below is an overview of the marketing strategies and objectives of the Climate Response App Developer. 4.1 Marketing Objectives Establish relationships with software professionals that need outsourced android and iphone App Development services. Develop an expansive online presence through the use of pay per click marketing and search engine optimization. Develop a high impact marketing campaign to inform businesses regarding the Company s newly developed applications. 4.2 Marketing Strategies Mr. Iyanro intends to use a high impact marketing campaign that will generate a substantial amount of traffic to the website that will feature descriptions showcasing the Company s produced android, iphone, ipod, and ipad applications. Of course, all sales will be made through the Apple and Google App Store. These strategies include the use of search engine optimization and pay per click marketing to drive traffic to the Company s website. The Company s web development firm will place large amounts of linking text on the Company s website. For instance, when a person does a Google search for a specialized type of android and iphone applications, the Company will appear on the first page of the search. This strategy is technically complicated, and the Climate Response App Developer, Inc. will use a search engine optimization firm to develop the Company s visibility on a non-paid basis. Management expects that a SEO firm will place large amounts of linking data and text specific keywords into the business s website, which will allow the Company to appear more frequently among search engines. SEO firms place text and tags on the website to increase the rank of a specific website.
