I handle the most common illustration and design programs fluently (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc). I code HTML and work with Wordpress as well as with film programs like Final Cut Pro and Premiere. In animation, I mainly work classically, i.e. with pen and paper, but also frequently use animation programs like ToonBoom Studio Pro. WORK EXPERIENCE Sept today: GANZANDERES animation & illustration Ganzanderes was founded in September of the year 2000 by me, Malin Erixon. Since then, I ve been freelancing doing illustration, design and animated film contracted as well as independent productions. I ve had the great pleasure to have my films screened at festivals and events all over the world, where I ve also received numerous recognitions and awards, including a Guldbagge nomination for Best Short Film Read more about these recognitions below. Besides my own animated short film productions, I freelance for advertising agencies, production companies, publishing houses, television etc. I have done work for: Sveriges Television (Swedish Television), MTV, Sony Music, the magazine EXPO, the magazine PEOPLE, the magazine Situation Stockholm, Grow Advertising Agency, Orion Pharma (pharmaceutical company), Atmo Media Network (production company), Rewir Brand Agency, and Illustratörcentrum amongst others. See a complete list of clients here: I have held courses in scetching and drawing techniques as well as held animation cources and mentored students at various design schools (see below). In September 2008, I was invited by Svenska Institutet (The Swedish Institute) to be one of two Swedes in the jury at the Cellflix Film Festival in Shanghai, China. The festival was a celebration of Bergman s 90 years and took place in the beginning of September, 2008 in Shanghai. I have also been invited to be one of three jury members of the Swedish competition at Uppsala Short Film Festival 2009 the largest film festival for short films in Sweden. My animated short film Benjamin s Flowers (Benjamins blommor) premiered in October It has been awarded at Stockholm International Film Festival, the largest competative film festival in Northern Europe

2 and has been selected to compete, as one of 65 films (and one of 10 animated short films) out of 8,102 submissions at the Sundance Film Festival 2013 one of the world s biggest film festivals. It has also been selected for Liljevalchs Vårsalong 2013, the famous jury-selected Spring Salon exhibition marks the opening of each new artistic year at Liljevalchs Art Gallery in Stockholm. It has been selected to more than 60 film festivals around the world and premiered at cinemas all across Sweden in October, 2013, through Folket Bio. Please visit for more information. My most recent animated short film called But You Are a Dog, premiered in January 2014 at Göteborg International Film Festival where it was nominated for Startsladden Best Swedish Short Film one of the biggest awards for short film in the world. It has also been selected to compete for Best Swedish Short Film at Uppsala International Short Film Festival 2014 as well for the 1 km film-scholarship at Stockholm International Film Festival. It has been screened at several other festivals around the world and premiered at cinemas all across Sweden on October 16, 2014, through Folket Bio. It has also been selected for Liljevalchs Vårsalong 2015 at Liljevalchs Art Gallery in Stockholm. In January 2015 the film was nominated for a Guldbagge Award for Best Short Film Read more about the film on and more about my other productions below. I have just completed my newest animated short film Sleep Incidents. The film is financed by the Swedish Film Institute and co-produced by Sveriges Television (Swedish Television) and Johan Ribe/iFilm. I am a member of Svenska Tecknare (the Association of Swedish Illustrators and Graphic Designers), Illustratörcentrum (Sweden s largest agency for illustrators and graphic designers) and SAAVA (Swedish Animation and Visual Arts, association) : Initiator of FIA (Forum for International Animation in Stockholm) I started an animation forum, together with three others: FIA, which includes the FIA Animation Festival Stockholm s first international animation festival. The first FIA Animation Festival took place at Kulturhuset (the Culture House) in Stockholm in In the 2009 festival, I sat in the jury at the FIA Festival : Teaching: Forsbergs School of Design Mentored and held animation course : Teaching: Beckmans School of Design Mentored a student for one semester and took part in the examination process/evaluation ( opponering ) for two other graduating students at the same school. April July 2006: Svea Advertising Agency Art director / graphic designer. Clients included: Vin & Sprit (Absolut Cut), Carlsberg, Kommentus, STAC Design, Activision and PAN Vision amongst others : Heart Advertising Agency/Heart New Media During these five years, I worked with the design and programming of websites and the development of CD-ROM presentations for Baush & Lomb, MCI WorldCom, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Täby Kommun and Arvika Grafiska Printers amongst others. Although most of my work benefitted the Internet/New Media section of Heart, I also worked with the production of printed material. My major functions were to do illustrations, retouch, graphic design and lay-outs : DataOriginal/Visual Communications Graphic design of printed material and development of conventions and exhibitions for places such as Folkens Etnografiska Museum i Stockholm (The Peoples Ethnographic Museum of Stockholm).
