Founded in 1933 and with a growing reputation as a café for musicians, with each week more become popular with such diverse events as business lunches and dinners, poetry nights, commemorative events, book reading, Port wine evenings, dinner with musical accompaniment, coffee breaks, book launchings and tutorials with coffee breaks. Our tradition, charisma and elegance along with new technologies and professionalism which makes our Café the ideal location to create your special events. 2 Lunches or dinners for groups We have pre-prepared menus for all types of groups. As there are no two types of groups alike, we have prepared three different menus. Allowing our guests to choose; that which suit s both the characterisations and personal tastes of the visiting group. Dinner with music With a reputation as a café for musicians, the Guarany is legendary for playing host to Portugal s rich culture and traditional shows. At the Guarany we frequently host such various musical concerts ranging from classics, jazz, blues, flamenco and tango on Fridays and Saturdays. Menu A Couvert Bread, Brown bread, Traditional bread from Avintes, Tuna paté and butter. Starters Smoked ham from Chaves with parmesan shavings. Main meal Suggestion of the day Dessert Chocolate cake with berries, Almond tart with a scoop of Pistachio ice-cream, Apple tart with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream or cheese cake with fruits of the forest. (1 choice per person) Coffee Delta Diamante coffee or regular black coffee Drinks Bottled water, soft drinks, White wine Muralhas (1 glass) or Red wine. The main meal suggestion is altered every day, for this reason it is imperative that when requesting our services all facets of the menu should be discussed. On nights which the Guarany plays host to musical or other shows, the price will increase by 5 per person. Price per person : 20.00

Price per person : Menu C (Menu chosen by yourselves) In this type of menu the client has complete freedom of choice. We supply a list of soups, starters, main meals, desserts and wines so that the client may decide on the menu of his choice. The menu decided upon will be strictly adhered to for groups with a minimum of 20 guests. For less than 20 guests the menu may be altered for each individual. Naturally the prices will vary as each person may choose a different selection. On nights which the Guarany plays host to musical or other shows, the price will increase by 5 per person.

There are 3 varying Porto D Honra toasts, from the simplest to the most elaborate, with which you can choose to end your Porto D Honra evening. 7 Coffee Break For tourists our coffee breaks are the ideal stop for a midmorning or afternoon break from visiting our historical city. The Café Guarany is a comfortable and spacious coffee shop where you can recharge or relax when a much needed break is required. In our charming and historical café full of tradition come and visit the city of Porto. Nowadays with technology and information constantly changing, we at Guarany understand that it is vital to keep up with our ever changing world. We have for your convenience a board room completely equipped and available for your conferences. Our boardrooms are equipped with air conditioning, widescreen TV, video, DVD player and a projector adaptable with PC and Mac. The min amount of guests is 2 and the maximum is 25 people per group. This service is available with our coffee breaks or any of our other types of services. Depending on your choice we will gladly serve your guests discreetly and privately while you host your conference.

9 General conditions for accepting reservations. Reservations will only be accepted by documentation. Either by letter, fax or . In order to accept your reservation we need your confirmation 5 working days before the date of arrival. Also total amount of guests that will be in your party. Payment can be made until the end of the service provided. Prices for children up till 12years of age have a 50% discount. Cancellations will only be accepted 72hours before hand. After initial service has begun there will be no discounts given to any cancellations or alterations due to some party members not present. For any reservations made where the total balance is less than 250, payment is to be made upon arrival. For reservations that are superior to 250, 50% of the payment is expected when making the booking. Groups that would like to book for either lunch or dinner have a maximum limit of 60 people. Anything higher than this amount will require hiring the café-restaurant exclusively. The price will vary depending on which season the booking is for. Our services end at 23h30. The maximum limit for a group for coffee breaks is 80 people. The menu previously agreed upon will be strictly adhered to. Any deviations will have to be authorised by the person in charge of the group. The existing menu along with its respective prices can be altered without warning. For this reason confirmation is mandatory. When confirming a reservation, please check that the menu and prices are still valid. The Guarany does not guarantee exclusivity. We are closed on the 25 th of December and Easter Sunday. Any conflict arising from this contract will be handled in the Porto courts.
