2 Overall Objective Improvement of growth opportunities for Kasahk SMEs by provision of appropriately skilled labor Improvement of employment opportunities for Kazakh labor and subsequently betterment of income opportunities Program task According to the requirements of SMEs - vocational training colleges, Chambers of Entrepreneurs, associations a.s. support an sustainable improvement of vocational training

3 Intended Goals and respective Measures 1 In selected fields of vocational training the Kazakh National Chamber of Entrepreneurs as well as subordinated Regional Chambers are offering demand driven services. They will take over a strengthened role in the field of vocational training. 2 Selected Vocational Colleges have improved training and continuing education courses in a practice-oriented manner exemplarily demonstrated in the training areas construction, tourism and may be in a third professional area 3 Orientation of potential trainees with regards to vocational training has improved - by a better cooperation between vocational colleges, chambers/ industrial associations and SMEs

4 Intended Goals and respective Measures 1 In selected fields of vocational training the Kazakh National Chamber of Entrepreneurs as well as subordinated Regional Chambers are offering demand driven services. They will adopt a strengthened role in the field of vocational training Organizational analysis of involved departments in the National Chamber as well as in selected regional branches of the chamber; when needed: further education measures for staff Training and Certification of trainers/ instructors in companies Development and maintenance of a national register (database) of (i) certified trainers/ instructors, (ii) of companies offering an apprenticeship program Periodical surveys in companies regarding demand for specific skilled staff

5 Intended Goals and respective Measures 2 Selected Vocational Colleges have improved training and continuing education courses in a practice-oriented manner exemplarily demonstrated in the training areas construction, tourism and may be in a third professional area Support for establishing Vocational Education and Training Committees in selected Regional Chambers (Chambers, Associations, Colleges, Administration / Akimat) Support of the Committees regarding the development and implementation of revised or new professional/ training standards in two or three professions (Development, accreditation proc., implementation in selected/ model colleges) Training of Teachers of the selected/ involved colleges Further training for staff of other Vocational Colleges by the model colleges

6 Intended Goals and respective Measures 3 Orientation of potential trainees with regards to vocational training has improved - by a better cooperation between vocational colleges, chambers/ industrial associations and SMEs Development of a comprehensive plan to promote dual/ cooperative vocational training Training of staff in the National Chamber as well as in selected Regional Chambers regarding information measures for dual/ cooperative vocational training Implementation of information campaigns/ measures in schools, companies, PR activities etc.
