1 Bee Wednesday 9 th September 2015 Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau The term is flying by and we now have just over 2 weeks left of the third term. You would have noticed we have painters at school at the moment. They are going to be in the school for the next 4-6 weeks repainting the entire school, exciting times! SCHOOL PRODUCTION Story of my Life The venue for the school production is the Hutt City Church, 22 Marsden Street, Lower Hutt. We will be busing the children to and from the church on Tuesday 22 nd September and also Wednesday 23 rd September for practices/dress rehearsal. There will be two evening shows one on Wednesday 23 rd September 6.30pm start and again on Thursday 24 th September 6.30pm start. Doors will open at 6pm. Tickets are now on sale from the school office for $8. A separate production newsletter was sent home last week with detailed information. Please check school website under newsletters if you missed it. We will be sending home regular production updates between now and the production week. It is great to see that lots of tickets have already been sold. The children are working really hard on their items and we are all getting really excited. VALUES RECIPIENTS Congratulations to these children: Brody Ronchi, Quinn Williams, Jayden Stock, Alia Ziegler, Mitchell Hedley, Naiyah Mackie, Rebecca Mawby, Reuben Kilgariff and Abby Harris. I really enjoy having morning tea with the children and finding out about how school is going for them. FUNDRAISING This is a reminder that all unsold chocolates and chocolate money is now overdue. Could all money and any unsold chocolates please be returned to the School Office by the end of this week. We have our next Fundraising Meeting next Wednesday evening at 7pm in the School Staffroom. 2 NETBALL PRIZE GIVING Kelson Stars The Kelson Stars had a fantastic season this year. The girls gelled really well together and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the season. We would like to thank Amy van Druten, Nicky Harrison and Paris Tait for coaching and umpiring throughout the season and Tania Love, Wendy Lowe and Kerryn Hancock for managing. Kelson Sting The Kelson Sting had a wonderful season finishing first and they had no losses in the first round of competition. We would like to thank Joan Dixon and Heather Mawby for coaching and umpiring throughout the season. Kelson Flyers The Kelson Flyers had a terrific season, finishing first in the first round of competition. We would like to thank Vanessa Race, Megan Toms and Janine Malone for coaching, managing and umpiring throughout the season.

3 ARTSPLASH Congratulations to our school choir who performed at Art Splash last Monday evening at the Michael Fowler Centre. What an amazing concert filled with beautiful singing. Well done to all of the girls who practiced so hard. Thank you to Miss Herron for the fantastic work she did with the girls. OUTSTANDING MONIES Thank you to those families who have paid for swimming Terms 1 and 3, any sports team fees for the year and Year 6 camp. Any families who have outstanding monies for any of the above events please make payment to the School Office. It would be hugely appreciated if these can be cleared by the end of the term.
