2 Engage and Recruit is a unique recruitment fair being held as part of the Making Cities Work - Technology in Planning Practice, ECTP-CEU 11th Biennial of Towns and Town Planners on 14 October 2015 in Dublin Ireland... a unique recruitment fair for spatial planners and built environment professionals On behalf of the European Council of Spatial Planners - Conseil Européen des Urbanistes (ECTP-CEU) and the Irish Planning Institute, we are delighted to invite you to Engage and Recruit a unique career and employment event focused on the fields of Spatial Planning and built environment professions. The event is being held as part of the leading European Spatial Planning Conference - Making Cities Work - Technology in Planning Practice, ECTP- CEU 11th Biennial of Towns and Town Planners taking place in Dublin, Ireland from the 14th - 16th October Making Cities Work Technology in Planning Practice represents the 11th Biennial of Towns and Town Planners. The conference brings together over 400 planners, built environment and other related professionals from across Europe and the globe to discuss and demonstrate projects and initiatives that can shape the future of our cities, towns, regions and countryside for the better. The Biennial will focus on exploring new technologies in urban planning practice. It offers a unique opportunity to improve the skills and knowledge of built environment professionals including Town Planners and Urbanists, Engineers, Surveyors, Architects, and Environment professionals by examining leading developments and projects in sectors such as urban mobility, mapping and information systems, city leadership and governance and sustainable energy. Engage and Recruit is a unique recruitment fair for spatial planners and built environment professionals, being held as part of the Biennial, on 14th October 2015 at Grangegorman Campus, Dublin, Ireland. The event is a great way for job seekers to engage with some of the major companies and recruitment firms from around the world and by offering a fair that focuses on specific disciplines the event offers employers the opportunity to engage with the right candidates for the right roles. As well as the recruitment fair, the event will also deliver an Employment Skills Workshop aimed at potential job seekers. The workshop will focus on the skills needed to succeed in the recruitment process, such as CVs and applications, interviews and assessments; or competencies frequently sought in graduates, such as teamwork, leadership and commercial awareness. Our targeted recruitment fair provides the ideal forum to meet a large number of spatial planners and built environment professionals in a few hours to promote your vacancies and internships. 4 Dublin: A Talent Hotspot; a Pivotal Business Location The Biennial is an initiative of the European Council of Spatial Planners (ECTP-CEU) that will be hosted this year by the Irish Planning Institute in Dublin, Ireland. The Conference will focus on presenting and exploring new technologies in urban planning practice and will examine innovative projects where these advances are reshaping our world today. Dublin is an innovation hub for many global technology companies including making it an ideal venue to bring together people who have an interest in seeing how technology can assist us in planning for the future. worldwide destinations with direct links to every country in the EU and same-day connections to the US and Asia. The purpose-built United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) facility at Terminal 2 in Dublin International Airport allows USbound passengers to undertake all immigration and customs inspections prior to departure. 6 Key Information Who Will Attend? The event is focused on the fields of Spatial Planning and built environment professions. Attendees will include: Town Planners Urban Designers Architects Landscape Architects Engineers Surveyors Transport, energy, smart grid and smart city practitioners ICT companies Environment & sustainability professionals. The Venue The event will take place in St Laurence s Chapel in the Grangegorman Campus in the centre of Dublin. The Grangegorman development represents a significant urban regeneration project of 29 ha of underutilised land in Dublin s inner city. The development relocates, on a phased basis, Dublin Institute of Technology s c.40 buildings on dispersed sites within Dublin City to a single campus. St Laurence s Chapel is a five-bay structure with a gallery, circa 1850, designed by William Murray. The chapel has been fully restored by the Grangegorman Development Agency and sits in the centre of the campus. Employment Skills Workshop As well as the recruitment fair, the event will also deliver an Employment Skills Workshop aimed at potential job seekers. It will take place from 1pm 5 pm on 14 October 2015 in St Laurence s Chapel, Grangegorman. Set-up / Stands Participants will be required to provide their own stands. Wifi and electrical power will be provided at the Venue. Interview Rooms / Facilities There are several interview rooms available to book in the Recruitment Fair Venue to hold interviews with candidates. The Venue is located in the heart of the campus with a spacious and comfortable waiting area for candidates. Advertising Vacancies in advance of the Event Engage and Recruit hosts an online vacancies page for employers to advertise opportunities, and vacancies. Advertising vacanicies online is free of charge for registered employers. Positions will be promoted by the Irish Planning Institutue and the ECTP. When appropriate, we also target specific groups of members via with vacancy details. Sponsorship Opportunities Raise your brand awareness by sponsoring the Recruitment Fair. Sponsorship of the recruitment fair provides employers with prominent branding at the venue, free exhibition space at the fair and inclusion in all promotional materials for the event, including posters, flyers, web, s etc. Employers can also take out advertisements in the fair programme booklet published online and given in hard copy to all attendees.
