3 HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE Completed in 1939 Part of Franklin Roosevelt s New Deal, Robinson Auditorium was constructed as a Works Projects Administration (WPA) project with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, 2007 Handsome Neo-classical/Art Deco building is an iconic downtown Little Rock landmark, continuously serving the community for the last 74 years Named after the late Joseph Taylor Robinson

21 IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE HALL Hall seating is reconfigured into an Orchestra level with two balcony tiers to improve sightlines and visual connection to stage TIER 2 New seating throughout including box seating on the sides of the hall that creates intimacy and scale New seat count: 2120 theater mode Volume in the performance hall is optimized by dropping the stage level enlarging the acoustic volume Envelope of performance hall is reshaped with modern interior finishes that optimize acoustic properties of the space TIER 1 Stage lifts extend the stage for symphonic performances, enhancing acoustics and connection to audience Technology upgrades include an expanded Control Suite and new Audio Visual and Acoustic reinforcement systems ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE HALL
