1 LSE Executive Summer School Scholarship FEAL is proud to launch its LSE Executive Summer School Scholarship, designed specifically for current and aspiring Chief Investment Officers. Super fund CIOs face an increasingly challenging role. Under an increasing array of governance models, CIOs are expected to be thought leaders; team leaders and builders; and a director and manager of an extensive range of external service providers. As part of the triangle that comprises the Chair, CEO and CIO, the position is one of increasing demands and challenges in a complex and highly professional environment. In response to these demands, the LSE scholarship has been created to help senior investment professionals develop their general management skills. The successful scholarship applicant will travel to London to undertake their preferred LSE Executive Summer School Program. Some of the programs on offer include: Climate Change: Economics and Governance Leadership: Current approaches to leadership and applications to professional development Strategic Decision Making for Management Beyond Rationality: Behavioural Economics and the Modern Economy Marketing Strategy Negotiation and Decision-Making The Outsourcing Enterprise: From Cost Management to Cloud Services Each LSE Executive Summer School Program is delivered over 5 days. The scholarship covers costs associated with business-class travel, accommodation and tuition. Applications close Friday, 29 April 2011 at 5pm (AEST). The scholarship includes cost of flights, tuition, and accommodation for the period of the LSE Executive Summer School program. All other costs will be met by the scholarship recipient. 2. Applications received after the specified deadline will not be considered. 3. All applications will be treated with confidence. 4. The decision of the selection panel is final and no subsequent correspondence will be entered into. 5. Successful applicants may be called upon to deliver a report to FEAL members. 6.
