1 Institute of Humanistic Study programme: Pedagogics Level of course First-cycle Course unit title English language, A2/B1 (1 semester) I /1 semester Face to face Obligatory DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION P.MI.1.JO English The student has a basic knowledge of grammar of a foreign language, can communicate at a basic level and is aware of the importance of foreign language skills in the modern world. 2 Classes Full time studies: 30 / part-time studies: 15 The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market. Student can make a phone call, leave a message, ask about the information and answer the questions about the direction. me P_W01: identifies the basic structures of the grammar and K_W01, K_W08 vocabulary forms to the extent that allows the understanding of simple written and listening texts about the family, society, education; P_W02: constructs simple expressions appropriate to the K_W05 specific situation typical for everyday life (talks about family, friends and neighbors, describes a typical Polish family, discusses different ways to build relationships; P_W03: recognizes and applies forms allowing self- and the K_W11 immediate environment introduction (a typical English family, the description of an old photograph, adverts in magazines, phone messages); P_W04: distinguishes differences in the system of education K_W09 in Poland and England; P_U01: leads discussion on topics related to his own person K_U06, K_U07 and the immediate surroundings: a comparison of today's and former schools, embarrassing situations, the relationships between parents and children, choosing a language school, asking for information; P_U02: uses correct basic grammatical rules and lexical K_U03 forms appropriate to the particular circumstances of everyday life (home, school); P_U03: constructs a short speech on given topic within the K_U02,K_U11, K_U13 required / processed subject; P_U04: prepares spoken and written presentation on a K_U03, K_U05 given topic, e.g. can make a call using formal or colloquial language; P_K01: works independently on oral and written K_K01 presentations, short forms (description); P_K02: works in a team, solving simple tasks: reading, K_K03, K_K04 Competences: writing and listening exercises; P_K03: is aware of the importance of language in the K_K02 modern world (education, professional work, travel, etc.); I semester Creating interrogative and overall sentences in present and past tenses. Form used to and other past forms. Covering the events of the past. Presenting yourself in interactions with family, friends, neighbors and colleagues at work. Describing cities - place, position, comparing cities Determining the amount: a lot, a little, a few, etc. Education and foreign language teaching how to learn?. P.MI.1.JO English 2 Classes Full time studies: 30 / part-time studies: 15 The aim of the course is to broaden language skills in a foreign language, which refer to the grammar and lexical forms, effective communication and openness to the challenges of today's job market After the second semester, student is able to arrange a meeting, construct a request for help, make a choice and convince the other party to do the same, make a reservation. After completing the fourthsemester student can give his opinion, discuss difficult social issues and make presentations on a given topic. Student can preisely describe a peson and city, fluently talks about daily habits, distinguishes politial parties in the GB.
