1 Course Description This course is designed for learners at the pre-intermediate level of English proficiency. Learners will build upon all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills important for effective communication with native English speakers. The course also systematically guides learners in improving their pronunciation, stress, rhythm, and intonation patterns. Learning Objectives At the end of the course, learners will: enhance their listening and speaking skills in a wide variety of social contexts; speak with accurate pronunciation, stress, and intonation; communicate ideas effectively through writing; develop their reading comprehension skills; become more confident in using English for communication. Who Should Attend Working people requiring a practical knowledge of English for communicative purposes Course Duration 24 hours Class Size 16 persons Course Outline Listening and Speaking Skills: Pronunciation, stress, rhythm, intonation patterns, contractions and reductions of normal spoken English Listening to simple conversational language in various real-life situations Idiomatic, colloquial and everyday speech Words and phrases in spoken language Social etiquette/meeting & greeting people Office conversations Class discussions based on topics or issues of interest to the class Reading Skills: Reading strategies for improving comprehension and critical reading Reading and discussing different types of texts in various disciplines (business, sciences, social sciences, arts, etc.)

2 Writing Skills Summarizing Paraphrasing Instructors: Highly educated native English-speaking and non-native English speaking instructors with experience in teaching English to Thai students in a variety of environments. The instructors have an extensive knowledge of various English usages used in the global business arena.

3 Course Description This course is designed for learners at the intermediate level of English proficiency. It encourages learners to function more effectively in communicative contexts through intense practice of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. With emphasis on listening and speaking skills, the course provides learners with ample opportunity to use English in a variety of authentic communicative, role-playing situations. Learners will also learn idiomatic, colloquial and everyday speech to help them communicate with confidence in daily conversational situations. Learning Objectives At the end of the course, learners will: enhance their listening and speaking skills in a wide variety of social contexts; speak with accurate pronunciation, stress, and intonation; communicate ideas effectively through writing; develop their reading comprehension skills; become more confident in using English for communication. It strengthens the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing essential for effective communication. The course provides opportunities to practice the language at a more complex level. Emphasis is on listening and speaking with confidence and the ability to sustain an active conversation on a variety of topics relevant to the learners daily lives. Learning Objectives At the end of the course, learners will: enhance their listening and speaking skills in a wide variety of social contexts; speak with accurate pronunciation, stress, and intonation; communicate ideas effectively through writing; develop their reading comprehension skills; become more confident in using English for communication.
