2 Preparation for the CAE CEFR Level C1 CEFR start: B2+ CEFR end: C1 Syllabus M-F Open Course duration: 36 lessons 90 minutes each CA Institute of Languages Overview CA Institute s ESOL Exam Preparation courses are designed for students who are seeking to pass the ESOL examinations for a recognized language level certificate. Exam preparation focuses on reading, writing, speaking, listening, use of English. Goals To improve the level of students understanding of a foreign language and to pass the CAE. To prepare students for the structure and content of particular English exams. To reach a C1+/C2 level according to the CEFR. End of course CAN DO Statements n I can talk about character adjectives and expressions with luck. I can write a formal letter. n I can talk about customs and traditions. I can do gapped texts and key word transformations. I can use gerunds and relative clauses properly. I can write a proposal. n I can talk about the future. I can do themed reading texts and multiple choice listening exercises. n I can talk about nature and animals. I can do sentence completion listening activities and multiple-choice cloze Use of English questions. I can use direct and indirect speech. n I can talk about health and fitness. I can do multiplechoice reading activities and short extract listenings. I can use modals. I can write a contribution. Prerequisites Upper-Intermediate understanding of English B2+ according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Requirements It is necessary to be flexible and prepared.
