3 What is a Paramedic? Paramedics provide health care for individuals experiencing a vast array of emergency and health related events in the community. Paramedics initiate care and determine the appropriate referral of patients to enable their continuing healthcare needs. A paramedic is also required to liaise with a range of professionals to facilitate appropriate healthcare needs of persons in the community. 1st & 2nd August

Only applicable if student has not previously applied via VTAC Duration: 3 years full time, 6 years part time No mid year in take No electives 1st & 2nd August
8 Bachelor of Emergency Health & Paramedic Practice Year 12 Prerequisite subjects 25 in English or 30 ESL, 25 in mathematics(any) 2015 clearly in ATAR: clearly in ATAR: clearly in ATAR: expected ATAR: ~ students from over 1400 applications in st & 2nd August
9 Bachelor of Emergency Health & Paramedic Practice Non Year 12 Non Year 12 students can meet prerequisites via Year 12 scores as previously stated University study 60+GPA in a minimum of 1 year full time study in a health based course, Nursing, Health Science, Bioscience or any other course that meets prerequisites. TAFE qualifications. Minimum 1 year full time study Diploma or above. 50% of the units must be graded and proof of meeting prerequisites required. No year 12 or University study. It is recommended for the student to undertake 4 single units via Open University. One English, one maths and two level 1 units. 1st & 2nd August
