It also is responsible for the preparation and administration of proficiency and qualifying examinations as required. The collection includes reports, correspondence, minutes, student comprehensive exams, booklets, master test review booklets, and supporting records of the Committee on Student Appraisal Also present are sample Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Comprehensive Exams given between Quantity: 1.6 linear feet Identification: Record Group 016/01/07/13/01 Administrative History of the Committee on Student Appraisal The Committee on Student Appraisal was created by the College of Medicine in It is responsible for the preparation and administration of the college certifying examination and for review and approval of the examinations or other instruments of certification administered by each school. It also is responsible for the preparation and administration of proficiency and qualifying examinations as required. Its membership is derived from the student body and the entire faculty. Scope and Contents of the Records This collection contains records from the College of Medicine s Committee on Student Appraisal. The collection will be useful to researchers examining the evolution of the College s curriculum in the 1960 s and 1970 s and the standardized tests administered to students. It is divided into three series:

2 Series 1: Committee on Student Appraisal Records and Correspondence, contains the committee s meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence regarding examination planning and analysis of the results. Series 2: Study Guides, contains two study guides given to students in the early 1970 s. Series 3: Sample Examinations, contains blank copies of exams issued to students.
