4 The USD 475 health plans are in cmpliance with the ACA Health Care laws applicable t large emplyers. Our plans meet the minimum value and affrdability guidelines. This means ur full time benefit eligible emplyees and dependents may nt qualify fr tax credits r subsidies n the Marketplace / Exchanges. Optins 1 and 2 are cnsider creditable fr Medicare Part D Prescriptin Drug purpses. The HDHP Optin 3 is nn-creditable. If yu are cnsidering leaving ur plan in the near future and are Medicare eligible, please visit with a representative abut this tpic. Health Savings Accunts (HSA) We encurage yu t review the lng term advantages f participating in a Health Savings Accunt t pay the ut f pcket share f yur medical bills. If yu participate in ur Optin 3, $3,000 High Deductible Health Plan, yu can set aside mney in a Health Savings Accunt (HSA) t pay fr eligible medical, dental and visin expenses. It can even help yu with lng term care expenses in the future. We have psted an HSA Guide n ur Intranet. The Guide will illustrate hw yu can take advantage f the tax saving features by enrlling in ur Optin 3 HDHP and establishing a Health Savings Accunt. The IRS prvides the rules that gvern this tax saving pprtunity, s review the guidelines carefully. In rder t take advantage f the HSA tax savings pprtunity, yu must create an HSA accunt BEFORE yu incur a medical r prescriptin expense. If yu chse nt t fund yur HSA n a regular basis, we suggest that yu pen the accunt with the minimum balance required.
