2 Exeter Barnfield Theatre The friendly, historic theatre at the heart of the city Exeter Barnfield theatre lies in a building steeped in 125 years of history, a minutes walk from the Princesshay shopping centre. It boasts a fully raked, 287 seat auditorium, a smaller room with space for up to 80 people seated, and a further bar and entertainment area suitable for music, comedy and relaxation. 4 Main Auditorium The Barnfield Theatre can accommodate any occasion, shows, dance, parties, business meeting, conferences, band rehearsals, drama rehearsals and clubs. The Auditorium has 287 seats, with a front row which can be removed to be used as a band pit. Our beautiful auditorium is steeped in history, the high ceiling lends itself to amazing acoustics. A fantastic place to hold Business conferences, Sales Meetings and Shows.

8 Clifford Room The Clifford Room is available to hire on an hourly, daily or weekly basis, subject to availability. This is a great room for meetings, rehearsals, stage productions, music events, band practice and private functions. Modular staging creates either a raised stage or raked seating for up to 60. Flat floor seating can accommodate up to 80, or conference style board meetings for up to 40 people. Catering for functions can be arranged at an additional cost. Venue hire includes use of the standard PA system and theatrical lighting.

9 Barnfield Bar The Barnfield Bar is available for smaller performances where a relaxed and intimate performance space is preferred. Stand-up comedy, acoustic artists as well as after-work parties and birthday bashes all work well in this lovely space. The Bar is fully licenced and is available to hire on evenings where there are no Auditorium or Clifford Room performances. Catering for functions can be arranged at an additional cost.

10 Front of House Gallery Barnfield Theatre's Front of House Gallery opens Autumn A beautiful space with both soft natural and artificial lighting, the Gallery is available for local Artists to exhibit and sell their work on a small fee plus comission basis, for one month periods. The space is also available to hire for small functions and perfomances. Catering for functions can be arranged at an additional cost. Artists wishing to sell their work must have their own public and product liability insurance.

11 Additional Spaces Green Room.The Green Room is a smaller space, ideal for meetings,rehearsals, read-throughs and small group activities. At about 5m x 5m and with plenty of natural light. Catering for meetings can be arranged at an additional cost Dressing Rooms The main dressing rooms and backstage kitchenette are included in the Auditorium hire price. Dressing rooms have great lighting, large mirrors and costume rails Theatre Takeover For an amazing festival or celebration, why not takeover the whole building for a weekend? 12 Front of House Services Box Office Exeter Barnfield Theatre offers a full Box Office service. Customers can book tickets for your event via our online service, over the phone or in person during the Box Office opening hours. We accept both card and cash payments. The Box Office is staffed during regular Theatre opening hours as follows: 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday 10am - 2pm Saturday The Box Office also opens for one hour before your performance begins. Website, Social Media and Brochures Promotion of your event through the Barnfield Theatre website, our Social Media sites and Programme Brochure is included in your hire price. Front of House Staff The Theatre has a dedicated team of friendly and experienced Front of House staff who are all dedicated to creating the best experience for you and your guests. Provision of staff is included in the cost of hire for either the Auditorium, Clifford Room or Barnfield Bar.

We do this without the aid of Government money, we recieve no City Council, County Council or Art Council funding, and we are very grateful for the generosity of our patrons.
