We aim to make our independent venture a place to SHOP, WATCH, MUCH and PLAY! We have a mixture of new and established traders, a vibrant community feeling and a focus on performance, music, art and creativity. We hope to provide the East-Londoner with something a little bit different, in essence, Not Another Chuffinʼ Market. The Story so far... Netil House A 50,000sqft office building near London Fields and Broadway Market, E8.The building was in a serious state of disrepair. It was neglected for fifteen years and then stood empty for five years. It attracted drugs and crime and in early last year it was squatted and gutted of anything valuable. In only eight months Netil House has become a thriving community of 102 small and start-up creative companies of between 1 and 10 employees. Within the building we have: music and recording studios, acrobats, artists, photographic studios, web designers, art restoration, furniture design, an internet radio station, a laser-cutting studio, jewelry makers and other artisans. We also have a café on the second floor, a Pilates studio, a thriving live-music venue and a 6000sqft gallery and dry hire space that has already been used for 18 major events exhibitions, films and music videos. Netil House has over 200 people working in it daily. It pulls 500 people each week on average to various events. Netil House has transformed the immediate local area. Tenants say it is a unique place to work and we have a long waiting list of people wanting to get studios.. We also intend by summer 2011, subject to planning consent, to create a green garden on the roof to be enjoyed by tenants and general public alike.

2 Netil Market Situated in Netil Houseʼs car park it consists of roughly 24 stalls for businesses in the building to help promote themselves and sell their work. The market now accepts traders from outside the building and aims to promote the work of artists, creatives and independent businesses of all types. We aim to involve and entertain the community with a variety of performance, art, music and other events. The market has a very family (and animal) friendly, relaxed vibe. We aim to keep it fairly reasonable in terms of product prices. We want visitors to see us as a destination, a place they can relax, shop, watch, munch and play. We are close to the already established and bustling Broadway and School Yard Markets and benefit from their passing trade. Trading at the market? How do I trade with Netil Market? Send us your business idea (if you havenʼt already done so) with a short description of what you would like to sell. Please include details of your products (including an idea of pricing), a selection of images and/or any links to websites. It would be good if you could include a contact phone number as I like to have a chat now and again. The manger will contact you to let you know if you are able to trade and if there is space available. How often do I have to trade - is there a contract? We are ideally looking for long-term traders who are interested in establishing a long term business. We do however accept short term traders from time to time but as you can understand we give preference to those who are in it for the longhaul. Your first week would be on a trial basis and we then ask you to book and pay in advance for four week blocks at a time. Please see below for details of the contract. Opening Hours At present we trade every Saturday (come rain or shine) from 11am 6pm. Traders can arrive from 9.30am to set up and you must be organised and ready to trade by 11am. An earlier set-up time can be requested but please bear in mind that our team may not have finished assembling the stalls until 10am. Please make sure you are packed up and off the site by 7pm so the team can go to bed after a long day. There are plans to open on a Sunday when it gets a bit warmer.

3 Stall Costs All stalls are assembled and disassembled by our team. The below prices are based on traders who book in blocks of four weeks. Stalls come in two sizes: 20 Table-tops: 8ft x 4ft surface space - with a tarpaulin roof cover 20 Walk in: 12ft x 12ft floor space with a tarpaulin roof cover and optional side panels (no table provided) If you choose not to book for a block of four then weekly stall costs will be 25 There are no other fees involved as we are situated on private property and not subject to any local council taxes or trading licenses. Both types of stalls are roughly 7ft in height. Tall people will have to bend, or join the circus. There are bars that you can hang items from along the sides. It is suggested that if needed you bring a rail for clothing. We do not provide chairs. There may be additional clips although we canʼt guarantee this. Please note that we only have a limited number of each type of stall and we will do our best to meet your requirements. How to pay Cash or by Credit/Debit Card - You can call into the Netil House building and pay in person Mon-Fri 10am-5pm or by card over the phone during office hours. Cheque - Please make cheques payable to Creative Network Partners. You can post them to us or hand them to us. They must be received atleast 7 days before you trade. 4 Terms of Rental 1.1 First time traders will be on a one week trial and future trading will be at the managers discretion 1.2 Rent is to be paid in full for four weeks in advance of trading if you are booking a block. Those who have not paid in advance will not be able to trade. 1.3 One-off or occasional traders will have to pay one week in advance for their stall. A place cannot always be guaranteed to this type of trader as preference will be given to long term traders. 1.4 Any no-shows for whatever reason will be charged at full stall price unless one weeksʼ notice is given. Your stall fee for that week can then be used for another date. No refunds will be given in any case. It is your responsibility to ensure you can trade on the agreed date and ensure you have someone who can cover you in the event of a cancellation. 1.5 Traders who cancel last-minute on more than two occasions will have to speak to the manager and your trading with us may discontinue. It is in everyoneʼs best interest to keep the market looking full and consistent. 1.6 Notice of one week must be given if you wish to discontinue trading after any four week block you have booked Please note that you can book for a block of four weeks but they do not have to be consecutive. Please be specific as to which dates you intend to trade in the block of four you pay for. Stall Obligations 1.7 Opening hours are to be observed as 11am 6pm. Stall holders must be set up and ready to trade by 11am. Traders must be off the site by 7pm at the latest. People wishing to pack up early or stay later must agree this with the manager. 1.8 No vehicles are to block the entrance and permission to park inside the market must be given by the manager 1.9 Ensure that your stock is displayed well and your stall looks the best it can at all times 1.10 If you wish to display stock away from your allotted stall space please speak with the manager first 1.11 Take any excess rubbish away with you or ensure that it is disposed of in the dustbins provided 1.12 Any damage to the stall or items belonging to Netil Market will be chargeable to the stall holder in question. General 1.13 Your point of call for any issues, questions or concerns is the market manager 1.14 Be respectful to neighbours, residents and local people at all times 1.15 Be supportive and respectful towards Broadway Market Stall Holders and Staff You must not enter into a competitive relationship, engage in competitive activity or do anything that could reasonably be construed as competitive or

5 detrimental to Broadway Market. We are trying to work with them to the benefit of all businesses involved All the stall holders shall work together to create a vibrant, successful and unique market The Licensor has the right to introduce additional market rules or guidelines where it deems necessary If any if the terms of this contract are breached there is to be no trading under the issued slot until the breach is rectified. If after two weeks the problem persists the licensor reserves the right to terminate the contract. What Netil Market will provide 1.17 We will ensure that the market is set up by 10am so that you are able to set up your stall 1.18 We will advertise the market and promote your business to the best of our ability 1.19 We will provide lighting and heating where necessary at no extra charge We will ensure the grounds are in reasonable condition and the market is clean and well presented 1.20 We will notify you of any changes to the terms and conditions of trading 1.21 We will provide you with access to water and toilets 1.22 Provison of storage can be arranged. Your items will be left at your own risk unless a fee is paid to us to store them 1.23 Your stock is your own responsibility and we can accept no responsibility for loss, damage or theft 1.24 You will be covered by our public liability insurance if you are injured by any of our stalls, the carpark or market staff 1.25 The stall you book will be in reasonable and usable condition 1.26 Why will try our best to ensure you get a stall in a position you require and provide you the type you require. Please be aware that we canʼt always guarantee you will get the same type of stall or position 1.27 If a market day has to be cancelled for any reason you will receive notification of at least 24 hours.
