BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange _ VO: In this video... Three archive storage devices slide in from the right, one after the other as numbered circles pop up in the top right corner of each archive. Arrows builds in underneath all three drives and move downward. Half way down the screen both the first arrow and the third arrow turn away from the second middle arrow which continues downward illustrating the three different ways data can migrate into Exchange from third party archives. VO: we ll describe three ways you can migrate data from third-party archives into Exchange,... The camera follows the middle arrow down as it connects to the Microsoft Exchange package. The two arrows that exited off screen to the right and left come back into the screen and connect with the Microsoft Exchange package in unison with the middle arrow. Once the connection is complete the lines fades leaving the Microsoft Exchange icon. The icon then flips to reveal a new archive storage drive icon. A new archive storage drive illustrates the beginning of method one. Icons for the different potential types of archived items expand from behind the storage drive. VO: Method one is to restore each user s archived items The archive storage device slides to the left as the archived item icons collapse behind the drive. An arrow connects the drive to an inbox which scales up onto the screen. VO: to their mailbox, VO: and some of the considerations for each method.
BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange Both the archive storage device and the inbox slide to the left. An arrow builds in from above the inbox and the inbox slides off screen at the bottom as the arrow continues to extend upward. The arrow makes a quick turn to the right moving into the middle of the screen. 2 Both the Exchange icon and cloud slide in from the right completing the connection. VO: to an in-place archive in Exchange Online VO: and then migrate that mailbox... The cloud icon slides out of the top of the frame and the on-premises icon slides in from below replacing it. A shell expands from behind the Microsoft Exchange package replacing the on-premises icon and a ring of blue archive storage devices begins to expand from behind the Exchange icon. VO: or an Exchange on-premises that features in-place archiving. VO: With this method, it s important to make sure you have enough space... The ring completes it s form around the Exchange icon. VO: for the additional data you plan to store in the archive.
BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange The shell and it s contents transition off the bottom of the screen and a translucent inbox and archive slide in from the top of the screen. s come in from the top of the screen and as they hit the bottom of the icons, the icons begin to fill with opaque white. Just before the archive icon completely fills they transition off the left of the screen. An archive storage device slides in from the right marking the beginning of method two. VO: Method two is to export archive data... The archive storage device slides to the left. An arrow connects the drive to the PST file icon which scales up onto the screen. VO: to PST files. VO: You should also ensure quotas on their mailbox and in-place archive are large enough that productivity is not affected. A Shell around the PST file icon animates in on the word ingest as a glowing light appears from the top of the frame over the glowing shell. VO: Exchange can then ingest those PST files... The Microsoft Exchange icon continues to move down into the frame ingesting the shrinking glowing shell and the PST file icon. The Microsoft Exchange icon stops in the center of the frame. VO: using native tools.
BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange 4 The on-premises graphic slides in from the right underneath the Exchange icon. Both then transition off the screen to the left. VO: If you are using Exchange on-premises,... A Shell interface builds in the middle of the screen. Code is then rapidly populated with keystroke sound effects. VO: you can use the PowerShell The shell interface scales up filling the screen and a final execute command is given prompted by the VO word efficiently. VO: to ingest PST files efficiently. Code begins to scroll down rapidly below the prompted command filling the screen. The shell interface scales down and is now centered on the screen of a monitor with four dots below it. The first dot highlighted in blue. A mouse cursor then clicks the next dot prompted by the VO words user-friendly interface. The Microsoft Exchange interface then slides into the monitor screen from the right. VO: If you prefer a more user-friendly interface,
BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange 5 The mouse cursor selects the next dot prompted by the VO word migrating. The ME cloud then slides into the monitor screen from the right. The mouse cursor selects the last dot prompted by the VO words free PST Capture tool. The PST Capture tool interface then slides into the monitor from the right. The monitor and it s content then transition off screen to the left. Three archive storage devices slide in from the right one after the other. Three rd party add-ons pop up under their designated archive storage device. VO: you can use the free PST Capture tool to help. VO: Method three is to use one of the software tools available from Microsoft partners. VO: or if you are migrating to Exchange Online, The rd party add-ons plug into there designated archive storage devices. Arrows then build in underneath all three drives and move downward. All three arrows move downward as the archive storage devices move off the top of the screen. VO: Many of these can also perform VO: a direct migration from third-party archives The arrows then connect to the Microsoft Exchange package. VO: into Exchange.
BuzzBee/Microsoft Exchange Archiving Videos Video 6: How to get your data from third-party archiving solutions into Exchange A monitor slides in from the right. The screen then builds in elements of the Pinpoint online interface as the narrator speaks. Prompted by the VO words partner solutions the three rd party add-ons pop up on the webpage mockup. 1 2 Three archive storage devices appear, centered in the screen. VO: Regardless of which method you use, and before you perform any migration, VO: on Microsoft PinPoint. VO: set your Exchange policies such as retention to meet your archiving and business needs. Prompted by the VO word Microsoft Pinpoint a pin graphic drops onto the page. The monitor and it s contents then transition off the screen to the left. VO: You can find partner solutions... Prompted by the VO word set the three archive storage devices then flip over to reveal three retention property windows. The green circles begin empty and light up as they activate and fill in, implying specific policies for each case. 6 Background changes to blue, ME logo appears.
