2 Information sur le projet Titre: Code Projet: Année: 2007 Type de Projet: Statut: Accroche marketing: E-learning dans les soins communautaires CZ/07/LLP-LdV/TOI/ Projets de transfert d'innovation Accordé CZ-Tchéquie À la fin de l'année dernière, la Commission européenne a autorisé le projet international appelé E-learning dans les soins communautaires, au sein du programme Leonardo da Vinci. Le coordonnateur principal du projet est le Centre national des sciences infirmières et autres professions de la santé à Brno. Ses partenaires sont des collègues de la Slovaquie, la Hongrie, la Pologne et la France. L'objectif du projet, qui devrait durer deux ans, est le développement d'un nouveau programme de spécialisation d'enseignement à distance pour les infirmières et les sages-femmes dans la communauté et les soins primaires, en partie mis en œuvre par le biais du e-learning. Résumé: Description: he project objective was based on the results of the analysis of community care delivered by nurses and midwives in Visegrad 4 countries. The analysis showed absence of educational programmes for this target group. Community care is the area of health and social care, which is paid a treat attention to in connection with health care systems transformation. In a number of European countries the community care represents a wide area of field and residency nursing and social services which are focused on a specific group of persons (seniors, children, socially deprived families etc.). In spite of the medialization of this field there has not been present any coherent system of spcialization education yet. That was one of the main objectives of the project, aiming at the development of a complex education programme, thich would be available easily and flexible enougn to be albe to react to quick changes of expert knowledge. The project objective was based on the results of the analysis of community care delivered by nurses and midwives in Visegrad 4 countries. That objective was fulfilled with the development of a modular educational programme, which was put into practice partly in the form of e-learning. We have elaborated an educational programme, which consists of several levels of modules. The basic module is focused on the role of a nurse specialist or a midwife in community care. It includes general topics, e.g. eticks, healt care legislation, management and leadership in thealth care, and selected problems of pedagogy and psychology. This module is commong for both target groups.professional modules are connected to it, which are closely specified, and they can be chosen by a student according to his/her interest. The selection of topics resulted from basic specifics of work in community care. However, we suppose that the system is open and that it can be amended or innovated all the time. For reasons of the support of availability, efficiency and utilization of ifnormation technologies in specialization education, we transformed a part of the educational progreamme into e-learning application. This teaching method makes it possible to study directly from one s home and to communicate with tutors and other students by means of chats, discussions, s. A number of students highly appreciated this way of teaching because it brought them both time and financial savings. Howevere, it is necessary to admit that the whole study cannot be made by e-learning because the branches are prevailignly practical ones where tne direct 2

3 Information sur le projet presence of a student and a tutor is essential. Nevertheless,the e-learning teaching method can be applied to at least 1/3 educational content. Nurses and midwives that tested the prepared educational programmes appreciated the e-learning method of education. However, E-learning has not yet been taken in the czech legilsative as one of the forms of lifelong education, nevertheless this project contributed to some changes.the bill 96/2004 Coll., on nonmedical health professionals education, je already takes e-learning into account, and e- learning educational programmes are expected to be rated with appropriate number of credicts within the framework of the lifelong education. At the same time an international English version was elaborated. Students Handbook - An international project team elaborated separate chapters of students handbooks. The handbooks were published in an international English version in compliance with copyright. In the national version the authors selected the content and extent of the handbook according to their educational needs in each participating country. The partners agreed on mutual transfer of handbook content in format Word in such a way so that the products could be used freely by each partner according to his needs because they are understood as a joint work. Elaborated handbooks : - The role of a nurse specialist (Czech, Slovak, English language) - Community nursing for nurses ( Czech, Slovak, English language) - Community nursing for midwives (Czech, Slovak, English language) - Opieka položnej nad rodzina (Polish language) will be used henceforth as recommended literature in the specialization study Community care in all partner countries. Tutor training curriculum - The content of the educational programme for tutors was prepared by a project team of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. 8 Produit 'Modules of the educational programme' Titre: Modules of the educational programme Type de Produit: Matériel pour l'enseignement Texte marketing: Description: Each partner should have prepared his e-learning version of courses in his national version and on his platform. At the same time an international English version was elaborated. The content of e-learning courses is mostly identical with the content of the handbooks, nevertheless it stresses more the interactivity. The content of the courses is suplemented with useful cross-references, descriptive figures or tables and charts. The courses have theoretical and practical parts. The practical part consists of test questions or exercises. The whole module is completed with a final test. The English version will be used for English speaking students, who will be interested in specialization in the field Community care for general nurses and midwives. In the Czech Republic the results of the project contributed to changes in legislation. E-learning was proposed as one of study forms within the framework of lifelong education. Since the direct teaching is shorter in this form, greater interest in these courses is anticipated. The basic module, which has been elaborated within the framework of the project, is used not only in the specialization of community care but also in the other specializations because it contains topics common for other fields. Some modules, such as «Home care» or «Ultrasound examination in the work of a midwife» will be used separately as ceritfied courses. The other e-learning courses will apply in specialization study in community care as one of teaching methods. 9 Événements 4 th meeting Date Description The meeting was concluded with final summing up of the main points and resulting conclusions: the Slovak partner will arrange with IT specialists of partner countries for the transfer of the international English version to their information platforms the project coordinator will carefully consider possible further cooperation for the purpose of gradual widening of the course topics, and of the innovation of the existing ones the project partners will weigh up options of the elaboration of CDs of selected e-learning courses according to their applicability the project coordinator will provide for the transfer of project results to all partners.
