1 The Maine State Troopers Association is proud to announce that Maine will be hosting the 2012 NTC Picnic on September 13 th, 2012 The location is Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth located on the ocean, this park is home to the famed PORTLAND HEADLIGHT (Lighthouse)

2 This a 15 min ride from downtown Portland. We are planning on having shuttle buses from downtown Portland to the Fort and back. The shuttles are included in the picnic ticket price. Updated 6/15/12 Fellow Troopers, This info will also be on our NEW website, click on the MSTA patch to enter the site. Here is a list of some of the best hotels we have in Portland and South Portland. Please don t wait to the last minute to make reservations as you can see there are cutoff dates for these rooms. The Portland hotels are in what we call the Old Port or downtown, while the South Portland hotel is a 5-7 minute drive to the Old Port. The Old Port section of Portland will also be the center or starting point for most of the events. The Maine Mall is directly across from the Wyndham hotel for families that may be accompanying Troopers to Maine but not attending the picnic. The rates are set for September 12th and 13th, but can be extended for more dates if necessary. 3 VENDORS- The MSTA will NOT be charging a booth fee for vendors at this picnic. However, if you are a vendor from far away and you choose not to bring tables to display your merchandise, we will be renting tables. Purchase of picnic tickets to enter the event will be mandatory. Please register your booth and table rentals with Rob Nichols at robert.n.nichols@maine.gov by August 1st. We will be hosting a Men s and Women s Cross fit event instead of the bench press. The event will be conducted right at Fort Williams, early in the picnic so competitors can enjoy the rest of the day.
