1 User Guide // ACH Origination This document describes how to make an ACH Payment using Templates or as a single Free Form payment. For quick ACH tutorials and practice exercises, click on the Learning Library in Online Banking, at the top right hand side of your screen. ACH Origination Using Templates 1. Payments > Template Center If you were previously an esquared user with ACH Templates, the templates you have used since December 2012 were copied over to the new Online Banking system as single payment Templates and Recipients. Select Payments from the menu bar and click Template Center under the Manage section. 2. View Template In the Template Center, your esquared Templates are displayed. The Template Name is the former ACH Category Name preceded by a unique number assigned by the bank, which you can change. The Description Name refers to the esquared Category Name. ACH templates were moved over individually in Online Banking so that you can select the Template to create a single payment or as one of the Recipients in an ACH batch file. Click the Template Name to open the template. 3. Edit Template On the Edit Template (Pay an Individual) page, you can remove the template number and change the Template Name. In the Recipients section, you will see one of the records from the esquared Category. Click on the Recipient link to view payment details.

2 4. Edit Recipient In the Edit Recipient overlay, review the Recipient s banking information and make any change if necessary. Click Save and Continue. 5. Review Recipient In the Preview Recipient overlay, review the Recipient. Click Submit Recipient. 6. Select Existing Recipients Next, click Select Existing to pull in the other recipients that comprised the esquared Category.

3 7. Add Recipients to Template Category In the Select Recipient overlay, select the Recipients that belong with this Template Category. Click Done. 8. Enter Payments All of the Recipients appear in the Template Category. Enter the amounts to pay each individual. The sub-total of the batch appears. Click Continue. 9. Review + Submit Template The Preview Template (Pay an Individual) page appears. If changes are needed, click Edit Template. Otherwise, click Submit Template. The Template will appear in the Template Center and is approved for use. Depending upon your entitlements, another user may be required to approve templates.

4 10. Payments > Template Center To make an ACH payment with the template select Payments from the menu bar and click Template Center under the Manage section. 11. Create Payment Select the Template s check box. Click the Select Action drop down arrow and choose Create Payment. 12. Edit Payment Information The Effective Date of the payment is selected by default (two business days in advance for ACH credits), but may be changed. Make changes to amounts if needed. The default Frequency is One-Time Only. If you wish to set a different schedule, choose one from the Recurring Frequency drop down list. Click Continue.

5 13. Review Payment Instructions Review the payment instruction on the Preview Payment from Template (Pay an Individual) page. Click Submit Payment to continue or Edit Payment to modify. 14. Submit A Successful Submit message will appear at the top of the Payment Center screen. This payment may be subject to approval by another user, as shown in the status column at the right, based upon your entitlements. You can also View ACH Reports for this Template by selecting the check box in the left column and selecting one of the Report buttons at the bottom of screen. Repeat this process for other category templates you used in esquared. Once you have re-created your category templates in Online Banking, you can delete unnecessary Templates. Free Form ACH Origination 1. Payments > Pay a Business To originate a free form ACH payment, select Payments from the menu bar and click Pay a Business under the Create ACH Payments section.

6 2. Pay a Business Complete the required fields on the Pay a Business page. Frequency defaults to one-time only, but can be made recurring. You can select Save as Template if you wish to pay this business in the future. Then click Create New to enter the Recipient s bank information. 3. Create Recipient On the Create Recipient overlay, enter the required data. If you intend to pay this recipient again, click the Save check box to create a template. Click Submit. 4. Enter Payment On the Pay a Business page, enter the Amount to pay the Recipient. Click Continue. 5. Review Payment The Preview Payment (Pay a Business) screen displays. Click Submit Payment or Edit Payment to make changes.

7 6. Submit The Successful Submit message appears. Another user for your company may need to approve the payment, based upon your entitlements. If you chose to Save to Template, you will be prompted to enter the Template Name and click Continue. 7. Review Template The Preview Template (Pay a Business) page displays. Click Submit Template to continue. 8. Submit Template The Successful Submit message displays. All saved Payment Templates will be displayed in the Template Center.
