5 Automation ATG s shade systems are operated by our proprietary window shade controllers (WSC). Depending on the type of controller and the options selected, our WSCs can accept discrete and certain digital signals for shade control (RS-485 or CANBus digital networks). The passenger can select preset positions, such as Open, Translucent and Closed, and the attendant/flight crew have override capability on all shades, including passenger switch lockout. Onboard diagnostic LEDs quickly pinpoint failure modes, and some WSCs feature built in test (BITE) capabilities. ATG offers capacitance type touch-switches for shade operation that may be installed on the shade system (certain shade components only); on the sidewall panel; or on nearby furniture. Serviceability ATG offers the industry s longest warranty and its products have demonstrated the industry s highest reliability. Nonetheless, if maintenance is required, ATG s fully field serviceable units feature a modular design enabling ultra-quick component replacement. Further, the newest ATG designs integrate the shade cassette and its mounting system, allowing power-on hot-swap replacement of a complete shade assembly in a matter of seconds and in many cases without tools.

6 Certification Certified on more than 30 different aircraft, ATG s shade systems exceed both airline and aircraft OEM standards for certification, reliability and maintainability. ATG s products have undergone extensive testing to gain OEM and regulatory agency approvals, and are manufactured and sold under FAA Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA).
