3 01.1 The logo mark English Symbol Primary Identity The preferred usage for the logo mark is the primary identity, in colour on a white background. French Primary identity
4 01.2 The logo mark Secondary identity the wordmark Secondary Identity This version of the logo should be used where there is insufficient space to use the primary identity at the minimum size.
5 01.3 The logo mark Background colour If the logo is to appear on a black or dark background then the reverse version of the logo must be used. When placing the image over a photograph, the background colour will dictate the preferred logo. Use the version which will stand out most from the background image.

7 01.5 The logo mark The map The line-art map is used as a visual enhancement which helps convey the ACPA identity. The map, like the globe, represents the global reach of Air Canada pilots. This map image should generally be used as a background.
8 01.6 The logo mark Incorrect usage The logo must not be altered from its original form and must always appear with both French and English. These are examples of how the logo must NOT appear. ACPA APAC X The logo must never appear angled X The symbol and type relationship must not be altered. X Do not scale the logo in an manner where by the proportions are distorted. The logo proportions must always be constrained when scaling. X The logo must never appear with a border. X Never add a drop shadow to the logo.

10 02.1 Placement X X X To centre the logo mark, always use the centre line of the globe as a guide. Do not centre the ENTIRE logo X X Clear space In order to maintain legibility and make the best use of space, it is important that the logo always have an X height of clear space all the way around. An X height is equal to the height of the left side of the swirl..8 The logo can not appear smaller than.8 in height. If it does it will no longer be legible.

This may not always be possible given certain layout constraints. Above are some acceptable options for placement.
