2 Introduction: Traditionally, Lab will have to logon to Carriers web site to schedule a pick-up. Additionally, when invoicing cases, they also have to go to another computer provided by the Carrier to create shipments. These processes are time consuming and the information such as Pick-up requests and tracking numbers are not recorded with the Customer account. DLCPM provides integration to resolve these issues and optimizes the processes. The integration with FedEx & UPS will provide number of different benefits as follow: - Ability to schedule pick-ups including Labels from within DLCPM Application - Create Shipment including shipping label while Invoicing Cases - Provide your customer with option to schedule their own pick-up directly from the Web (Requires Doctor Web Access Portal Service) - Track all transactions with the customer accounts for future reference Requirements: In order to use the integration services, you must register with the respective carriers. This registration is required even if you already have an account. It is strongly recommended that you contact your account representative for assistant. Important: When contacting your Carrier, please be sure to tell them you have hired third party developer to create a custom application for you. Please do NOT tell them that you have purchased a program that has the integration features built-in as it will prolong your approval process by several months. Magic Touch Software Page 2 of 8

3 FedEx Integration The FedEx integration uses FedEx Web Services for Shipping. You must register with FedEx and obtain Test Developer Key before you can use this service. Please logon to Now click Register and Access menu on the left panel. Now click on registration for developer account link. Magic Touch Software Page 3 of 8

4 Now click on Obtain Developer Test Key link at the bottom of the screen. Once you have obtained the Meter Number, Access Key and Password, logon on to DLCPM and enter the information along with your account number. Be sure to check the Process in Test Mode checkbox. The option is found under File, Settings, Shipping Carrier Accounts. Magic Touch Software Page 4 of 8

5 Update the information on this page and you are now ready to create some test labels. FedEx generally requires that you submit one shipping label per service type for approval process. After the labels are submitted, your account will be switched from Test mode to live mode and you may begin using the integrated services. You may request you production access code from the same page above after the testing is completed. Magic Touch Software Page 5 of 8

6 UPS Integration The UPS integration uses XML API or XML Shipment Request. During the registration process, you will be asked as which tools you are interest in. Please logon to and scroll down to Premium tools. Once you register, you can request your Developer s Key and are allowed to download documentation. Since we have already developed the application, there is no need to download anything. The web site will advise you to wait for a few days until you are approved. Once approved, you need to go back to the web site, logon and request your XML Key also known as Access Key. Magic Touch Software Page 6 of 8

7 Once you have obtained your Access Key, you may now logon to DLCPM and enter the information under File, Settings, Shipping Carrier Account. Magic Touch Software Page 7 of 8

8 Now that you have obtained your test authentication, you would need to go through certification process. In DLCPM, click on the Administrator Menu across the top, click on Utilities, then select the certification menu for each carrier. This option will generate all the necessary files for the respective Carrier and opens the folder for you. You will need to zip the files and them out for certification. Once certified, you will receive your new credentials, enter them in the Settings and uncheck the test mode checkbox. Magic Touch Software Page 8 of 8
