As public institution, UP cherishes its role of contributing to the wellbeing nd future growth nd development of South Afric nd Afric. Strengthening our impct on economic nd socil development loclly, regionlly nd further field is therefore one of our core strtegic objectives, in which CE t UP plys pivotl role. In 2014, more thn 500 short courses cross 20 fields of study were offered through CE t UP. While the grdutes delivered by UP nnully constitute our most visible nd direct contribution to socio-economic development, the relevnce, impct nd benefits of ongoing professionl development nd life-long lerning for skills development, mintining competent workforce nd providing in the humn cpitl needs of the country cn hrdly be overstted. This is the domin of CE t UP which, together with their contribution to the long term finncil sustinbility of UP through the significnt third strem income generted by their ctivities, clerly illustrtes their importnce for the University nd the communities it serves. Since its lunch in 2000, more thn delegtes from over orgnistions in the privte nd public sectors benefitted from their courses, nd CE t UP, being provider of world-clss trining, hs n interntionl footprint in 61 countries.
