2 THE NEXT GENERATION OF AUSTIN LEADERS DEAR FRIENDS, We would like to thank you for your continued support as we enter into our third full year as the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce. In just that short amount of time, our membership has grown to over 1,200 young professionals and continues to grow every day. The sky is the limit for us, and we could not have made it this far without our loyal members and sponsors. Although the state of our economy is unstable and unpredictable, Austin has continued to thrive. Our city is growing at a rapid rate, and we want to make sure that our organization keeps up with this growth. We will continue to offer new and exciting events and programs to our members that are relevant to current trends. As always, we are open to suggestions and love hearing new ideas. We feel that the connections we make through our network of young professionals will carry us through any economic climate. Our members are talented young professionals, who use their own success to help fellow members acheieve their goals. 3 What is the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce? Mission: Develop and connect young professionals in Austin to create business, community and individual success. The purpose of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce (AYC) is to provide valuable and comprehensive opportunities for the development of young professionals in the Austin area. This includes fostering professional growth and skill development through exposure to community and business leaders, while gaining a broader perspective on Central Texas business opportunities. The AYC also provides unique social networking opportunities to help develop peer-to-peer relationships on both a personal and business level. Members of the AYC will have the opportunity to get involved, learn how to make a difference in the community, and become the next generation of Austin leaders. When was the AYC created? The AYC was created in July 2009 and has experienced incredible growth. The AYC is now the largest and fastest growing young professional organization in Central Texas. It is also one of the five largest Chambers of Commerce in Central Texas. 02

How Will My Sponsorship Funds Be Utilized? Corporate sponsorship monies help the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce remain a minimal dues organization. This encourages all young professionals to participate, regardless of their financial situation. As the membership grows, and the need for a greater diversity of professional development and networking opportunities arises, sponsorship monies will ensure that our members continue to receive quality opportunities for growth as young professionals. 03

5 Benefits of Sponsorship: Designation and recognition as an annual or event sponsor for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce gaining exposure to the largest network of young professionals in central Texas. The sponsor s logo and link will be placed on the homepage of the Austin Young Chamber website- with a link to your company s website. The sponsor s name and logo will be included on all promotional items used for AYC including: Brochures, Flyers, s, Signage, Sponsorship Packet, etc. Recognition with special signage during all AYC events. The opportunity to address the crowd for 3 minutes at each Austin Young Chamber event. The ability to distribute materials at AYC events. The ability to send out blasts to our network of thousands of young professionals (specific number negotiable). General and/or Elite Memberships will be given to sponsor (specific number negotiable). Sponsor will be a part of all publicity prior to and during a sponsored AYC event. The ability to have a resource table available to display collateral at a sponsored event. The opportunity to place literature in every seat at sponsored event, and provide a giveaway item. Tickets to a Signature AYC Event (specific number negotiable). A table for your company at the FAVE Awards and/or Poker Tournament. The chance to host a specific AYC event at your venue, or venue of your choice. The opportunity to add events coming up for your business on all AYC newletters. The ability to have us post job openings on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. The ability to have us post events and other big updates on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. * If you do not see what you are looking for here, we are open to hearing new sponsor benefit ideas, and will create a sponsor package specifically for your business. 04

6 AYC Signature Events 2012 AYC Non-Profit Fair: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, this AYC event highlights 17 local non-profit organizations. Each non-profit is given a table where they can educate AYC members on their non-profit and provide them opportunities to get more involved. *Title sponsorship available Poker Tournament: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, this annual event is held in the fall. This event features a night of No Limit Texas Hold em Poker and attracts over 200 attendees and players. *Both title and table sponsorships available, see separate Poker Tournament Sponsor Packet. AYC FAVE awards: AYC s Favorite Austin Ventures & Enterprises (FAVE) Awards is an awards gala for Austin area businesses, nominated by the public and voted on by the AYC members. Award categories are based on a day in the life of an Austin young professional. These categories include Best Sunday Brunch, Best Happy Hour, Best Live Music Venue, and more. The FAVE awards is expecting to have over 250 attendees and an after party with live music will be open to additional attendees. *Both title and table sponsorships available, see separate FAVE Awards Sponsorship Packet. AYC Tailgate: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, this UT football event provides a fun atmosphere to get connected to fellow young professionals, and be a part of Austin s lively tailgating scene. 07

7 AYC Other Events AYC Speaker Series Luncheons: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, these luncheons are designed to help to develop and educate Austin s young professionals. Every month a different speaker is featured, and discusses a timely topic. Lunch is provided. As a sponsor of this program you will have the opportunity to have a large presence in front of the general membership of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce. AYC Membership Mixers & Unique Social Events: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, these monthly networking events offer the opportunity to showcase your products and services to 150+ young professionals in a relaxed fun atmosphere. Each event is held at a different venue around Austin. This event is a great way to make new contacts and generate new business leads. As a sponsor, you will gain exposure to our young professionals at an event repeatedly having our largest turnout. AYC Let s Talk Speed Networking: Presented by the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, these events provide a fun and exciting way to get connected in a short amount of time with a large number of young business professionals. AYC s Apprentice Austin Program: A unique program for the top 15 students from all area colleges designed to develop tomorrow s young professionals and the future leaders of Central Texas. Each student is paired with an AYC member or a local leader in an area of the students career interests and pursuits for a 3 month, 6 session mentoring opportunity. *Title Sponsorship available, see separate sponsor sheet for details. 08
