Together with the WKF Karate1 World Cup (WWC) it is a series of world class Karate competitions recognized and supported by the World Karate Federation Its aim is to bring together the best Karate competitors in the world in a series of open championships of unprecedented scale and quality 1

3 WELCOME / INTRODUCTION Under the patronage of his highness King Mohamed VI, I m honored with the members of FRMK and all the Moroccan karatekas to organize the 12 th International King Mohamed VI Karate Cup which will be twinned with the Karate 1 - Premier League Rabat, Morocco There is no doubt that, the trust of The WKF to arrange such event is not easy to get Without the strength and the passion of the FRMK and the results our National team of Which we re proud of. The event will be held on, 20th 22nd May 2016 in Rabat, the imperial city with the great History. Rabat with its fabulous sports facilities is always the core stone of national and International sports events. 5 REGISTRATION All competitors, referees, coaches and officials must register online using the online system on In case of any questions concerning the online registration please directly contact Sportdata software team via the address Clubs / teams / federations are responsible for the quality of the entered registration data. Changes of online registration data are possible until 08th May The official registration session will take place on Friday 20 th May 2016, from a.m. to 7.00 p.m. at Multi-Purpose Stadiums Prince Moulay Abdellah Rabat MOROCCO. If changes are required during the official registration session because of incorrect, missing or new registration data, a fee of 20 is charged for each change. At registration, accreditation cards will be issued with the participants main data, a photograph and information about registered categories. The accreditation card must be worn at all times during the event. Only members of national federations recognized by WKF are admitted to participate. Please also note: - All teams have to register their participants at the official registration session. - Only one responsible per team has to register the complete team. - All participants have to show their passports at the registration session. To obtain such Certification, coaches must attend a compulsory the Coach Briefing. Therefore and in Order to give the opportunity to the WKF Coaches to get this certification, some Coach Briefings will be held in the following Karate 1 events : Karate 1-Premier League, Rotterdam, Netherlands Karate 1-Premier League, Fortaleza, Brazil Karate 1-Premier League, Rabat, Morocco Karate 1-Premier League, Dubai, UAE Karate 1-Premier League, Hamburg, Germany 6

7 WKF ACCREDITED COACH BRIEFING, RABAT, MOROCCO. Coach Briefing Schedule: Friday 20 th of May 2016, from 16:00 p.m. to 18:00 p.m. at the Prince Moualy Abdellah Venue Rabat - Morocco. Registration (only online): Those coaches who wish to attend to the Accredited Coach Briefing in Rabat (Morocco) must be registered online and must fill out the Accreditation Agreement for Coaches that can be downloaded from the online registration site. All coach registrations must be made online latest until May 8 th, 2016, through the following link: Should you have any difficulties when registering, please contact support@sportsid.org for technical support. Fees and payment: We would like to remind you that the fee to attend to the Coach Briefing and to obtain a new license or to renew your expired license of WKF Accredited Coach is 300 CHF. PayPal must make all payments by credit card, through Sport data system: No other methods of payment (bank transfer,...,) will be accepted. Registrations and payments in site will not be accepted. 7

8 COMPETITON RULES WKF Rules / Karate1 Rules For all categories the official WKF rules / Karate1 rules are applied. Only WKF Approved protective equipment is allowed to use. Athletes have to bring their equipment. WKF APPROVED ITEMS THE OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR LIST CAN BE CHECKED ON THE WKF OFFICIAL PAGE : UNDER THE HOMOLOGATED ITEMS AREA The use of the WKF body Protector is compulsory for all male and female Kumite categories. 8

9 PRIZE MONEY For individual categories (Kumite and Kata): - Gold Medallist : Silver Medallist : Bronze Medallist: 100 For Kata team categories: - Gold Medallist : Silver Medallist: Bronze Medallist : 200 RANKING Competitors can earn ranking points in every Karate1 event according to the official WKF Ranking Criteria. Grand winners (Karate1 champions) have to participate in 6 Karate 1 events at least. Grand winners (Karate1 champions) at the end of the WKF Karate1 season receive extra Price money. 18 TOP TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN RABAT 1- Hassan Tower The most ambitious of all Almohad buildings, the Hassan Mosque was, in its time, the second largest mosque in the Islamic world, outflanked only by the one in Smarra, Iraq. Though little remains today apart from its vast tower, or minaret, its sheer size still seems a novelty. The mosque was begun in Rabat Archaeological is an archaeological museum in Rabat, Morocco. Opened in 1932, it contains the most extensive collection of archaeological artifacts found in Morocco.
